CONGRATS! this is an amazing record! btw i'm not super involved in MK DS but why did you choose the Standard Kart?

standard karts have 2 mushrooms, and currently doing the SC with mushroom is far easier with 1 than without, and while there are 3 mushroom karts that were used for WRs before they lose too much in performance otherwise so standard karts are used instead now

@@metarotta ah ok, will it ever be possible to do the shortcut shroomless more then once? that would allow the usage of the Egg one or Dry Bomber which could get this down to maybe a 1:31?

@@Gusthewizard 2 shroomless scs could be doable in some months? my guess is that the kart for that would most likely be Egg or Polt (or even BLS), Dry Bomber most likely isnt in contention bc despite its MT length it is one of the lowest top speed karts in the game though there is also the fact that shroomless SCs will be slower than mushroom SCs by a few tenths per lap and standard karts like LG used here or YS arent a huge amount behind Egg and Polt in performance
