I always love those little touches of awkwardness in Vincent's performance as Fisk; something about his body language, like when he's thinking of what to say for his monologue at the beginning and right down to his fighting style, makes him almost seem like a little kid trying to present himself as an adult. It's a constant reminder of the character's own childhood trauma and Vincent's performance is elevated even further as a result.

I read people saying his acting is bad here but u just said what I wanted to say. A lot of times Fisk character is pretending, throughout all the series there are scenes were he is not completely him and he is just saying the words he needs to say. Because when he is him itself, he is just a very traumatized child who grew up getting so much power and influence.

I love how Fisk isn't the slightest bit disturbed at the impromptu hand-to-hand with a man he just saw kill 15 men unarmed. He knows he had a beating coming for that failed assassination attempt and he takes the hits while returning his own to assert dominance. If anything, he *relishes* the challenge. Man, I loved how serious everyone took their roles, absolutely loved King Pin and Punisher's actors. Where NONE of them were "quippy" heroes and villains. They were ACTUAL performance, where I love the idea if Vincent woke up as Fisk and Bernthal woke up as Castle, told that's just who they are and what they have to be in order to make it a certain time in the real world. Where it feels like both almost performed as both as if their lives depended on it. Amazing.

One of the things I like about the character that is Kingpin. He is as self-assured as he is self-indulgent. He monologues because he knows he can, and he enjoys it. For him, it's also a power move. To show he doesn't care if you know or not- it's a means of him asserting himself. Only people in complete control can afford to monologue like that- anyone else has liabilities to exploit from it. I hate stubbing my toe while walking to tbe fridge but if I break an arm during a moto I can and have rode through it, among other injuries throughout my career. Pushing pain to the side combined with the best pain killer of all,, adrenalin, it overrides pain. For awhile at least. There's no such thing as pain tolerance, we all feel it the same, but we as individuals have a better mindset than others and some are more capable than others to push it to the back of our minds and focus on the task at hand.

In the comics he’s a skilled martial artist relying purely on his strength but still got the technique right I don’t see this kingpin using either of those The guy acting him may havr trouble with technique so he could just use brute strength In a full strength fist you would take your arm all the way to the back and then curve it for extra momentum He used a half punch which was still very slow
