I always love those little touches of awkwardness in Vincent's performance as Fisk; something about his body language, like when he's thinking of what to say for his monologue at the beginning and right down to his fighting style, makes him almost seem like a little kid trying to present himself as an adult. It's a constant reminder of the character's own childhood trauma and Vincent's performance is elevated even further as a result.

On the other hand, Poindexter was a mentally ill murderer who legitimately enjoyed killing people, not just because he believed in harsh justice. King Pins way of talking makes him seem more real than any media that has ever portrayed him. He is coarse, loud but also polite and measuring every word in his mind. You can hear the odd combination of sophistication and menacing street talk which makes him in and of itself a character filled with contradiction. There is such depth in this portrayel.

I honestly think Punisher was way more compelling on Daredevil than he was on his own show. I mean Bernthal was great on both shows but I still feel his best work in the role was in Daredevil. The scenes on the roof and in the cemetary between him and Daredevil were some of the best scenes on any of these shows.

Thanos is a ghost, was an ideal. The kingpin is flesh and blood, literally ruining the here and now. If Clint and Bishop don't do things correctly, it's heavily implied the kingpin will kill their families and not respectfully either. Clint already lost his family in endgame so it's not the same type of dread. It worse.

Damn, if Punisher wasn't chained up and still recovering from numerous wounds, Kingpin would be in trouble! xD

Stephen McCracken These aren't the comics' versions of the characters though, so that's pretty much a moot point.
@mikec80868 жыл бұрын
+Gustav Ramirez they still draw inspiration from it and follow a fair bit of their structure.
@gustavramirez28918 жыл бұрын
mike C Doesn't change the fact that it's a moot point, as MCU Kingpin is currently more of a strength-based brawler rather than an actually skilled combatant, while MCU Punisher is a skilled marine with years of experience, whose blows, as seen here, were able to make even the much larger Fisk stagger, despite Punisher being weakened at the time.
@adamz39668 жыл бұрын
The punisher was also chained up. He was stabbed several times and had just been beaten by fully armed riot guards. Kingpin wasn't chained up and he hadn't just brutally killed five men and he didn't just fight riot police. I doubt that Kingpin wouldn't have been quite easily beaten by this version of the Punisher because he may hit hard but, he is slow compared to DD or the Punisher. That is how he got beaten in the first place by DD.
@gustavramirez28918 жыл бұрын

@@elessartelcontar9415 Fisk's movements before he swung were pretty hard to read he leaned back as if he was gonna lead with his right making his backhand pretty unexpected. Things happen much faster than you'd expect I think it's totally believable he could land a hit with this method even against a trained fighter. Also Castle was pretty exhausted from having just fought for his life against like twelve dudes or something.
