pfmp721 I found that getting it from the edge of banister is way more consistent than from the middle. Wasn't too painful to get each time

I know everyone is giving praise for this insane TAS run, but there's something else that needs to be praised. Literally every sound - the tricks, drifting, Funky's cheers, even the wall bonks - it's all timed PERFECTLY to the beat of Studiopolis Zone's music. And the transition to the Act 2 song on lap 3 was beautiful. I have mad respect for you taking the time and effort to find a song that syncs perfectly, Luke.

1:05 wasn’t that turn wide? 0:41 considering you don’t have to release the MT ASAP, could you delay the hop and do a tighter drift to get more wheelie time here? (all 3 laps)

Don’t kill me for responding a year late or my lack of knowledge of this TAS, but I will try to answer your two questions using what I know. In 1:05, I agree with you. Compared to laps 1 & 3, I would say that the turn was SLIGHTLY wider than the other laps, but I think it didn’t lose much time, or it lost like 0.005 milliseconds. On 0:41, you’re correct about that you don’t have to release the mini turbo as soon as you charge it, since the boost obtained from the boost pad is going on, and when you release the mini turbo during that, it would be useless. Luke released it just after the boost was gone, so the mini turbo wouldn’t be useless. What I don’t get is that delaying the hop would make the drift less optimal for the next turn, and you’re also saying to do a tighter drift after the hop? I don’t think that would get more wheelie time, since delaying the hop would delay the drift, which will delay the wheelie, and delaying the wheelie would me less wheelie time. Unless you’re proposing to not do a mini turbo for the mini turbo, then yes, there would be more wheelie time. But, what about the mini turbo? Without it, wouldn’t it be slower? Anyway, this is what I THINK, and shouldn’t be taken as fact.
