Hello Daniel, I would like to thank you - and Patt! - very much for the great content you provide. You both are a great teachers. I am a 54 year old lady from Austria, lifelong visual artist and educator, currently studying computer science again. I am using this summer vacation to recreate your entire NOC playlist. My wonderful daily routine: Go for a swim in the early morning and then code! Your channel has inspired me to make my diploma thesis based on js.p5. I will also order your book. Big fat thanks for everything and please never stop doing what you do!

Instead of custom calcAngle you can use Math.atan2(y, x) it returns radians angle betwen the vector (0, y) and vector (x, 0), you will not have to check quadrants.
@Мартынов-х3ъ6 ай бұрын
It seems like the angle would always be either pi or 2pi by your description

See p5js atan2 ref page second example.

24:00 Wouldn't a double nested IF statement be more efficient? Or at least making the range -180 to 180 then adding 360 if below 0.

It would have been so cool to have the points on your face do all that movement and oscillation when you opened the mouth instead of having random letters like that.

😊There is a function atan2 to reduce the amount of calculation she did here !
