Well an Umpire has to have a serious bug up his ass to throw out someone who said his peace and then walked away without another word. Umpires seriously need to grow some thicker skin. Players are gonna chirp, criticism is expected. An Umpires word is not God.

I hate to disagree with everyone but in the very first clip that ball hit the ground first, when you have a TV like mine it is 12 K, 85” and runs at 244 Hz. You can see things other people can’t see and it definitely bounced off the ground and into his glove.

They should be able to argue balls and strikes without getting thrown out of the game unless they do it twice or more because some of these strike calls are horrible like when did below the knees become a strike

@heath gallagher In four years (about 300 games or so) I've never tossed anybody, but the closest I came was a guy who was bitching his entire way back to the dugout after being rung up on a pitch that was in the low zone. He didn't look at me, but he was definitely talking to me. If his coach hadn't told him to shut up and sit down, I'd have run him. You don't have to be talking directly to the ump to do something worth getting thrown out of the game.

If it’s too close to take, you swing at it. I admit some umpires make very iffy strike calls, however, a lot of players are spoiled brats these days. Ted Barrett said in Tech talk that a ball can be slightly off the plate and it’s a rulebook strike.

I don't care how good or bad the calls were, or how bad the ump was getting berated. You don't eject 3 or more players, all on one team, over the damn strike zone. You're directly impacting the game from behind the plate at that point, and everyone in the damn stadium is going to be looking at you. No one came to see you umpire.

and Will Little is probably the worst. He's the guy that threw Marcus Stroman out for nothing, Russell Martin out for saying "What just happened" and John Gibbons for being a stand up manager. Is there a way to demote Umpires, like put them into the minor leagues? Will Little and Angel Hernandez need that.

Not only was the game being blown out, but Caminero's stats belie the intent. His control wasn't too bad (approximately 63% of his pitches were strikes over his career) and he had hit a total of 7 batters up until that point...and Andrus was the only batter he hit in the entirety of his 2016 season. Hell, the count was in Andrus' favor (at 3-1)...

Unless my lip-reading skills are rusty, Anderson does say something towards Franco just before he puts the hand up towards the plate umpire...it almost looks like "F*** you." You can see him looking towards either the dugout or Franco, mouths the comment, then turns his head slightly right towards the approaching ump.

Each player that argues with a strike call should be fined $1,000.00 and the money would go to St. Jude's or other charities that provides for sick children. Managers will be fined $1,500.00 find to be used for charity. Ejections would be reduced by 75% or more.
