Since 2000 the A's have made it to the playoffs 8 times, from 2000-2003 the A's lost 4 consecutive game 5's in the division series, 3 of the 4 game 5's being at home, 2006 they finally make it to the Alcs but get they're asses kicked by the Detroit, then 2012 alds game 5 loss at home, 2013 alds game 5 loss at home again, 2014 lost wild card game in kc, it's truly heartbreaking to be an A's fan in the playoffs

In my opinion, Home runs should not be considered chokes. You can argue that it was bad pitch location but it could also mean good pitch recognition on the batters part.
@SearchEast2069
@SearchEast2069 8 жыл бұрын
I agree. And the ability to recognize the pitch and square it up with a big swing in a high pressure situation is much more a case of clutch hitting than it is choking via poor pitch location/ selection on the part of the pitcher.

Orioles/Yankees was in 1996...that was a screw-up by the umpire on the Derek Jeter home run that wasn't. I'm pissed not so much about that, but the ensuing World Series, the Yankees swept 4 straight games after Atlanta took the first 2 in their building. The bigger choke that year was Atlanta.

I'm only 43 seconds in and I have a critique. World Series Game 6 if you want to highlight it as a choke, you need to show the wild pitch and the dropped foul pop by Steve Balboni that also happened during that 9th inning rally. Those were the chokiest moments of the inning. For game 7, Joaquin Andujar had a 5th inning meltdown screaming at the ump, having to be restrained and ejected. This exemplified the frustration of the Cardinals in a blowout after being so close the night before. That's also part of the choke but you only showed the last out.

I wouldn't say that the A's choked in the Wild Card, but I'm also not gonna say that the Royals didn't get lucky on some of those. The catcher choked when he dropped the ball, but Josh Donaldson got two straight unfortunate ball placements. Hosmer had a nice triple that probably should have been a double, but Jerrod Dyson had clutch base running. It could go either way, really.

It can't be a "choke" it was game one of the ALCS. Now if the Os would have went on to win that one along with game 2 victory. Who knows? That game should be in the "Biggest Screw Jobs In MLB history"

The Royals remind me of the Yankees, they have to cheat to win and then they win the series.

Because he was out at first, should never have gotten to a seventh game. Just like when the 12 y/o prick leaned onto the field and abd caught Jeter's fly ball out.

kevin62387 😂😂😂😂😂 What? That isn't cheating... that's just a bad call. Moron.

What does Jeters' NON-HOME RUN have to do with 'choking'? He didn't hit a home run, the ball was deflectied out of the park by a fan with an over-inflated sense of entitlement ( a disease which, currently plagues our nation). There was no home run and there was never a choke on any teams part!!!

dude it was like a 10 year old kid reaching for the ball! I agree the ump blew the call but don't sit there and tell me he was "entitled" when you and I and 99% of every other fan out there would've reached for that ball!

Apparently EBH has announced to the world that he doesn't care if you like the music or not. It's his video, he'll put in music if he wants, like it or leave it. Well, I'm leaving it. Plenty of other highlight films without sucky music.
