I'd probably just start doing weird shit like magic tricks or pretending to eat pennies or something. Sidenote: I always carry a pack of cards on me just in case something like this ever happens to me (it's slightly sad how much I'm actually not joking right now. I really do that), and I've either been edited out of every local news shot I've been able to get behind, or been asked to leave by one of the staff there. I've literally fucked with every camera I've ever been in front of to the point where it's almost become a hobby at this point.

If they want to eliminate fan interference they have to make all seats unreachable into fair territory. Seats are way too close if the fans can reach over to interfere with catching a ball. When the excitement and emotions take over it is too difficult to control yourself if a ball is hit within your reach. For some fans this is their only chance. It's different if they jump a fence or run on the field. That is not a baseball fan.
@gregorybrian6 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Never understood why they let fans sit so close to the action.
@querps10435 жыл бұрын
@darklordster Not on all of them (Kid at 10:00 is a good example of it being the fans fault), but if you're in your seat and can be interferring with play, thats bad design.
@gtcrain36875 жыл бұрын
Querps no, that is part of the game. You get to go home and have a story about being ejected. All your friends will poke fun at you and tell the story for years. It adds excitement to the game. It’s all part of the fun. You have to be a MLB fan to appreciate it.
@lunv20005 жыл бұрын
@@gtcrain3687 it's not part if the game. That's why they call it interference. They should move the seats back if they're gonna have to go through the trouble of replaying it and throwing them out anyway. Now you don't have time go through that trouble and back to playing baseball.
@gtcrain36875 жыл бұрын
Luna baseball has only been around for 150 years but we should worry about this now. The only people complaining are in the comment section. No one that goes to games regularly has a problem with it. Plus it only happens maybe once in a hundred games. It’s part of the tradition of the game.

Guy barehanding the ball in left field was an honest mistake. He thought he was reaching straight up, and if he nor the other guy had caught it, it'd likely bounce right at him or someone else. Lets be practical here. If MLB wants no fan to interfere with play then they need to push the front row back and make like the 3rd or 4th row the new front row leaving players a clear area to make a play. That ruins it for the fan experience but there would be no need to review a play and waste more time. I think the league needs to be a little more flexible in some cases a fan is looking at the ball and may not know a player has a shot at a play. Who doesnt want a foul ball at a game?
@vtoohigh49525 жыл бұрын

Or just tell people to stop catching balls and stop the whole thing all together. Some people come to catch balls and as long as it is allowed they will do anything to catch them.

0:45 how is it interference? Isn't that net at wrigley like a couple feet beyond the fence. If he was able to reach it, then no way it stays in play

I caught the ball. Small Asian kid with a catchers mitt. I have the ball to prove it.
@mattanderson16085 жыл бұрын
Mr. Anonymous I'm not arguing whether or not you caught it, if that's really you. I'm saying that even if you didn't catch it, it would have landed in the basket for a home run
@The.Original.Potatocakes5 жыл бұрын
Matt Anderson Matt. I'm not sure. They are at a 45 degree angle(to the outfield wall, so they stick out at an angle.) so pretty much the momentum of the ball made my glove kinda lowred because of the force. I wish KZbin could upload pictures because I have a ton. I even got Miggy to sign the ball. If you have any questions email me and I can prove it.

@fldave612 Жыл бұрын
4:57 I think that guy truly thought it was coming into his seat and didn't intend to interfere with the play based on the way he had his hands clasped in a catch position, I don't think he realized he extended his left arm out slightly over top of the wall, he was just focussed on catching it. Based on his interaction with the player he realized he screwed the play up. The player would have caught that ball for sure if the fan didn't reach for it, but I think it would have been challenged as to whether it was a dead ball or not.

IMAGINARY LINE!!?? HAHA!! Yeah ok, forget that noise.... If you're at a baseball game, apart from jumping on the field to get the ball, if you can remain in the stands and get the ball it's fair game. If the player missed getting it, that's their problem. Frickin get real, I'm not going to a game and have the potential to get a ball or whatever but not gonna touch it cause it MIGHT be a playable ball, get outta here.

BrendanTheGent not bingo. I guess if your not a MLB fan you just don’t get it. It’s all part of the fun. Getting ejected gives you a good story to tell, gets you on TV, etc. It’s all part of the game. Baseball has been around long enough that if it wasn’t part of the game they would have changed the stadiums layout. Lighten up and have some fun, live life, catch a ball and get ejected. It’s a once in a lifetime thing, enjoy it like most fans do.
