In reality Trevor’s career was destroyed by the media/MLB. Yes he’s an odd guy, but that doesn’t make him a criminal. He wasn’t charged, there’s ample evidence she lied and was extorting the guy ffs. It’s also so rich how the league/fans allot second chances to certain players (who were actually arrested/charged) and not to Bauer. I’m sure it has nothing to do with Trevor’s rightful criticism towards the MLB lmao.
@Adam-mj5hl7 ай бұрын
I’ll agree that Bauer wasn’t likely to be a MLB player representative or a media darling. I’ll also agree that there wasn’t enough evidence to charge him criminally for sexual assault and that the so-called victim was a sociopath looking for a payday. But that doesn’t change the fact that Bauer willingly put himself in a vulnerable position to be taken advantage of by his accuser. He willingly engaged in borderline rough sexual play with the woman, to the point where it could be questioned whether it was consensual sexual conduct, and thus left himself in a position where all his accuser had to do was take photos of her injuries, point the finger, and demand a payday to make it all go away. Bauer essentially became the MLB poster boy of why players should never get tangled up in domestic relationship activities that could have even the hint of domestic violence.
@baseballworldwide94397 ай бұрын
@@Adam-mj5hl none of that negates the fact he shouldn’t be blackballed from the league over this matter. Innumerable other players have put themselves in similar or far worse positions and were still allowed to play. It’s an injustice even if you don’t like the guy. I never did, but I can still recognize it as wrong
@braddorcas93637 ай бұрын
Bauer was definitely scapegoated for calling the league out on stick stuff when it was blatantly obvious which pitchers were using it. Manfred didn't like that it put egg on his face for looking incompetent, so they weaponized this story against him to run him out of the league. Now teams could sign him again technically. And i bet a number of them would love his services. But they know it immediately brings the hatred of Manfred if they do.

Ever. Bauer's real crime was publicly fueding with Manfred... (I mean there are a bunch of things that made him kind of an asshole, and totally warranted the hate, but the reason MLB was happy to suspend him and blackball him was for his publicizing the spidertack problem) Franco... yeah... umm... you gotta check ID man...

Do you remember when all the text messages that proved Bauer's innocence against the first accuser came out.... Apparently not cause you failed to mention it a single time, even tho around half the video is you talking about Bauer... Just strange how you can mention the accusations multiple times even mention the settlement, you did leave out that the settlement was for no money and Bauer admitting no fault. Thats the reason she said he hopes this will be the last time he has to defend himself in that clip you used.

@shiftymenno7 ай бұрын
@@ryandanford5289 You really want to talk about factual evidence? A 27-minute phone call between former MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer and Lindsey Hill, the woman who accused him of punching her during rough sex, has been released. Bauer and Hill agreed to drop their lawsuits against each other earlier this week, allowing each to openly discuss their sides of the story for the first time. A lengthy phone call between Hill and Bauer, which was recorded by the Pasadena Police Department in collaboration with Hill on May 22, 2021, was released Thursday by the site Legal Affairs and Trials. “I really do appreciate all your sweet messages and stuff and, like, they do make me better. … The thing for me is, like, it’s kind of like blurry for me, obviously, because I was like coming out of, like, in and out of consciousness. So I did ask you to hit me?” Hill asked Bauer in the call. The website reported that Hill had two officers sitting next to her at the time of the call. “Yeah,” he answered after a brief pause. She asked, “I’m trying to wrap my head around it because obviously, like, I’m in a lot of pain, and I don’t remember, like, specifically asking you to, like, hit me. Like, did you mean to hit me that hard?” Bauer answered, “No, and like, that’s why it’s confusing. I didn’t feel like I hit you that hard, you know? And certainly, like, I tried telling you multiple times, ‘Do you want to stop? Are you OK?’ And, like, you said to keep going. So I just was trying to follow your lead on it.”

Trevor just carries too much baggage with him. I'm not even talking about the reason he was suspended, I'm just talking about his personality being very abrasive, he's a drama queen who wants all of the attention with none of the consequences. I mean this is the same guy who tweeted multiple times about the same college athlete who didn't like him as if he took it personally, and then when the backlash was heavy he apologized without really apologizing as he still threw a jab in. This is not also to say it wouldn't be a risk to sign him because he is getting older and having watched his YT channel and his media company videos, his most consistent batter he works with is Eric Sim who in all accounts is a cage hitter who hasn't played above Advanced A ball and that was over a decade ago. While the decision to suspend him seemed to be out of retaliation for him calling the league out for a number of things and Trevor could be seen as another Jose Canseco in that regard, MLB is a business and teams have to make the best decisions for their clubs and someone who is an attention seeking drama queen with an abrasive personality who is also on the wrong side of 30 is not worth the risk to clubhouse moral.

@Raw_Meat_136 ай бұрын
I'm not a big fan of Bauer, but it was the media, the MLB and girl that destroyed his career more than anything and a lot of his old teammates have even said he wasn't terrible in the clubhouse, the biggest one being Mookie Bets. and where did he admit that he was violent? Even though I'm not a big fan of him he was found innocent. And his performance in Japan shows that he is still at the top of his game and for that he should be given another chance. And the reason no one will hire him is because they would get a lot of backlash for the signing not because no one wants him.

@@baseballworldwide9439 That’s a dumb thing to say because you don’t know me and you don’t know Trevor. You are basing all your assumptions on info from one source …Trevor. This strikes me as extremely short sided. Because MLB is a billion dollar company they have a reason to protect their brand. This is the USA. The Supreme Court has already ruled corporations are people. They decide their rules and who they want to represent their company and brand. Playing in the MLB is not a birthright it’s a privilege. Nothing is guaranteed. And it’s so astonishing to me the people that say Trevor is innocent. He has six different victims and he only talks about one, Lindsey Hill. Even with her the excuse is she gave consent. That’s asinine. I can give you consent to beat an choke me and if I get injured seriously or die you can’t say but we agreed I could do it. The fact remains he did it. With a total stranger. She could have died. That’s the risk he took. And it’s something he routinely did because there’s a pattern. It wasn’t just the assaults. He had a plethora of issues with social media (harassment) and problems with teams and teammates. He wasn’t a smart person knowing he was a problem and still doing risky things. He’s no hero. He burned his bridge in Japan by insulting their culture last October so they will never have him back. His actions led to him never playing in the MLB again and it’s his fault. No one else’s. It’s sad guys look at him as a victim and hero. He’s a narcissist and sociopath. He is lucky he is wealthy and can afford to stay out of prison. Dodgers paid him 22 million last year for nothing. Baseball owes him nothing. He’s been a screw up for a long time.
