Yeah but you can't tell me that the umpire saw him miss the plate. It was way too close for them to call it. Review it, maybe. But the umpire better be damn sure he kissed it for him to make that call, and he could not have been because they reversed it. it.

You can add Ryan Howard at home plate in the 2009 World Series (can't remember which game, but in Philly)... ump called it correctly. That is, no call at all (no safe sign), until Posada throws the ball to 2nd base to try to get another runner. At that point, the Yankees can't appeal any more, so the run counts... then the ump waves safe.
@alanhess93064 жыл бұрын

C'mon cameraman/producer for that Dodgers game. The players are already pointing towards third base, so we have an idea something is going on. They put the camera on the fielder jogging, the baserunner, the manager Torre/dugout pointing to third, and finally the pitcher. BUT NOT ON 3RD BASE SO WE CAN SEE THE UMPIRES DECISION WHEN IT HAPPENS!!! Not till after the crowd errupts do the show us, the people who know baseball and are already anticipating what the umpire is going to call, third base. Reminds me when you're watching a football game and you see 2 guys going at it at the end of the play. You hear the whisyles blowing and the camera goes to a player jogging off the field and then a close up of the coach. Meanwhile I'm pulling my hair out saying Show them fighting! Takes them forever to get what people want to see. Makes me wonder how much the producers know about the games.
