No one’s talking about this…. Francisco Alvarez was having a good season until he tore up his thumb early in the year. When he came back, he was never the same until late in the playoffs.

I can say that I have full faith and confidence in the Met’s hierarchy now. I darn sure didn’t have that for literally about the last 36 yrs.

Bro the take about shohei ohtani not deserving mvp is brain dead. He’s not a DH because he can’t field, he’s a DH because he’s a good pitcher, and they want to preserve that skill, which IS MORE IMPORTANT than good defense. He also, despite being a pitcher, happened to hit 50+ bombs and get 50+ steals, which is way better than lindors offensive stats. So sorry, yes he deserves the MVP and it’s not even a question.

But he didn't pitch... He had a ridiculous year but Lindor playing at silver slugger and golden glove level definitely deserved the notoriety the MLB refused to give him despite carrying the Mets to the NLDS. Ohtani did ridiculous numbers, but the Dodgers would've won it all without him, and was a one dimensional player last year.

Alvy is a pretty good catcher when he is healthy and he is great with the pitchers. Also, Brandon Nimmo could have a bounce back season.

Judge is the best hitter n it’s not even close! Just look at their career numbers! It’s not even close! Soto has a better career batting average on base percentage and OPS then Ohtani

@jelambertson4 күн бұрын
@ Sir, could you be a little more descriptive with your statement? However what I’m saying is that MLB swept the whole Ohtani affair under the rug. I understand why. Ohtani is such a huge superstar so banning him or suspending him even for a short time would hurt baseball too much. I would have done the same thing if I were MLB. A comparison to Donald Trump may be appropriate. After 10 years of scrutinization and investigation, slander and 99% negative media they were unable to convict him of anything substantial. They investigated Ohtani for a month and decided he was innocent. No suspension, no fine, not even the slightest amount of bad media coverage. Everybody unanimously agrees the man is as innocent as a new born baby. He is so talented, and we have so much invested in him that he cannot be guilty of anything at all. To my knowledge he was never even publicly advised to stop associating with Ippei Mizuhara in the future. BTW, Sir Let’s Go Mets!
@jelambertson3 күн бұрын
@ That’s the whole point. Nobody investigated and no one is investigating so they aren’t going to find any proof. I used to think it was impossible to cover anything up or keep a big secret. After all we couldn’t keep the atom bomb from the Russians OR the Chinese. But this is bigger. There’s more money at stake and nobody gives a shit about the US taxpayer. I don’t really care as long as I’m entertained, and Pete Rose was an asshole and Ohtani is supposedly a nice guy so there’s that.

Think about this... Will Smith and Max Muncy had down years. Both could hit 25 to 30 hr.s Dodgers still won. Dodgers had very little pitching and still won. Bottom line The Dodgers will be better next year. Lol. Keep dreaming Mets. U have no bullpen and no pitching. Your high dude.

I like the idea of a rebounded Nimmo #2 w/ Soto #3. I also like the idea of trying McNiel @ 3b w/ Acuna @ 2b. And yes!! The DH is the worst thing in baseball and no DH should be able to win MVP. It's like a (knockout) middle reliever winning CY....NO!!
