IN ONE GAME THE OTHER TEAM'S COACH ORDERED HIS PLAYERS TO "STAY ON THE BAG. WITH THESE GUYS WE NEVER KNOW WHERE THE BALL IS!" OF COURSE I, WHO WAS BEHIND THE AWOL BALL YELLED, "DON'T LISTEN TO HIM. THE BALL IS WHERE IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE! WHERE WE CAN GET YOU OUT!" I HAD MY COACH IN TEARS BECAUSE HE NEVER KNEW WHERE THE BALL WAS EITHER. JUST THAT INNING WE PULLED OFF 2 TRICK PLAYS FOR OUTS AND A STRICK OUT.

On March 16, 2017, the final investigative report on the incident confirmed that Fernández was driving the boat at the time of the incident "in a reckless manner, at an extremely high rate of speed, in the darkness of night, in an area with known navigational hazards such as rock jetties and channel markers." The report concluded that he was legally drunk, had cocaine in his system, and violated a number of state laws, including boating under the influence, manslaughter, vessel homicide, and reckless or careless operation of a vessel. Just saying.

Actually the defensive team can't do that to change a fast runner for a slower runner. The original runner stays on first and the batter is out.
@ShadowsAces8 жыл бұрын
There is no rule against purposely dropping a fly ball to cause a single force out, the only rules that are in place are to stop cheap double plays from occurring, such as the infield fly rule or what happened at 0:44 where the player grabbed the line drive and put it on the ground to start a double play. The proof is that the "original runner" Colby Rasmus did not return to first base, he was replaced by Tyler White due to the force out.

Rule 5.06(c)(7) Comment: If a ball is intentionally placed inside a player’s uniform (e.g., a pants pocket) for the purpose of deceiving a base runner, the umpire shall call “Time.” The umpire will place all runners at least one base (or more if warranted, in the umpire’s judgment, in order to nullify the action of the ball being put out of play), from the base they originally occupied. The runner should have been awarded third base when Altuve put the ball in his pocket.
