No idea why the manager stupidly sends him back to the minors and playing duds like Hummel, Salazar, and Cabbage instead. Makes no sense. Before the game Loperfido was already batting .350 and playing stellar defense. That play he made at the foul line early in the game was UNBELIEVABLE! No way Yordan - or even McComick - can make that play! KEEP HIM ON THE TEAM AND PLAY THE GUY REGULARILY ESPADA!!

Top two hitting teams in the AL, enjoy the show. Anyone notice the O's are 37 for 91 as a team last 2 games a .407 clip. Last 7 losses by a combined total of 13 runs against some of the absolute best teams in MLB. NEVER out of a game.

I was at this game! Couldn’t stop smiling after that fifth inning! Espada wanted to give his star pitchers a break, so I wasn’t *too* worried when the orioles came back. Very fun ball game to attend!

I was at this game. 6th inning when we went 4-14 up I was out of my seat celebrating. And then two innings later I was in severe distress. It was a great game but the Astros turned off in the last three innings, which was absolutely horrible and nearly cost us. Still an amazing win though!

How was Jake's pitch at 4:12 not a strike? He had multiple pitches that were all the way inside the strike zone box that weren't called strikes, whereas, when the Orioles pitcher threw it more outside the box, his were called "strikes"... 🤔

Bloss had a good start for his first in the major leagues but seeing him leave with an injury was really tough, hope he'll be alright because it would hurt to see another young pitcher go down. Didn't expect this to be such a high scoring game because the O's are a really tough team. Also I have to have huge respect for Gunnar, he's already turning into one of the biggest stars in baseball and that 8th inning really had me worried 😂. Good game Orioles

Nah this happened more rhis year. We lost three good relievers at the beginning of the year, and another 2 on the IL, and the ace relievers that we have havent been doing well. We also have like 6 pitchers on the IL, and a big hole known as Montero in our bullpen. I like Montero as a person but he hasn't done well.

Yes, and it’s entirely Joe Espada’s fault. He refuses to use our two best relievers (Tayler Scott and Seth Martinez) in high leverage situations even though they both have ERA’s of like 1.7, and he keeps using Ryan Pressly who has like a 50% chance to blow the lead on any given occasion

It is Espada’s fault but not for the reason you might think. Ryan Pressly has a low FIP which is what your era should be without luck involved. I also think Pressly against the same part of an order in a series has been a recipe for failure this year.
