Shohei has singlehandedly got me back into Baseball again, after many years of being fed up with the sport he has gotten me watching games again and digging my old stat books out just loving baseball like I used too. Thank You Japan for lending us someone who may turn out to be the greatest player that has ever played the game. I cannot wait to see him pitch next year.

@@たんたかたん-c9y I hope so, and I think overall Shohei will be a positive influence on baseball...I was getting angry with the direction Baseball was going a few years ago....The Astro cheating scandal, the Steroids and the foul un-sportsman like attitudes and conduct of the players...so sick of it I quit the sport all together...quit watching and said I was done. Then here comes Shohei and wouldn't you know it, the man has made me passionate about the sport again and he is a bright shiny example of how baseball players should act and dedicate themselves to the sport. He's the kind of guy you want your kids to emulate when it comes to professional sport competition. Thank you for the comment. :)

Wow I'm a Phillies fan can I have to say he is no joke the best I've seen in a long time I can't even say who's better than him all around no one and to top it off he's a pitcher it's unheard of he keeps it up he's going to go down as the greatest ever!! ​@Koyomimatic yea those folks are obtuse. You have relievers who won mvp as well as starting pitchers who can help once every 5 to 6 games. Ohtanis contribution has greatly won many games for dodgers. If anything, his war is ridiculous for not being a position player. Even if he was average positional player,his war would go up greatly. Folks saying he isn't a position player so he shouldn't win would ve like those old timers who say Cy young winners back then pitch 8-9 innings regularly and pitchers nowadays pitch 5 to 6 so shouldn't count.

I know there are so many good baseball players to watch/follow, but Shohei is the one that got me into watching baseball. I keep seeing people complain about how he doesn't do this, doesn't play that, but I saw him pitch like an ace, and hit like Judge. Its official. Before 2024, Shohei been known as Mr Jun-Tani and Mr. Jul-Tani. In his first year as Dodgers, now he also add Mr. Aug-Tani (12 HR and 15 SB) and Mr. Sept-Tani (10 HR -16 SB) nicknames. Lets hope he will add Mr. Octo-Tani in his first post season games. 🎉🎉
