I was at this game and was very surprised at how many Padres fans were there. Both teams got plenty of cheers whenever they did something big.

Saw a Mariners game back in 2019 against the Yankees. Half the stadium was going let's go Yankees let's go Yankees! Some Mariner fans were shocked. Never heard the visiting team get more love?!

What a competitor, 6 innings of flawless pitching and still mad at himself for not getting through the 7th whilst the ball park is giving him a standing ovation. The M's are spoilt for starting pitchers, hope Castillo is okay.

The Mariners have flipped the script from how it was in 2022. I'm looking forward to that series in Houston. The Mariners toughest series will be against New York. Then the next 9 games are against AL West teams.

and the run begins now. Mariners are 100% in control of their own destiny. Win out and you make playoffs as the AL West winner. Only problem? this is probably the toughest stretch of games of the season. 4 series against Division Rivals, and 1 against the Yankees, with the biggest series of them being the 3-game trip TO HOUSTON. Will they make it all the way? Realistically, probably not; but I wouldn't be surprised if they made it real close, just like last year.

they're going to miss the playoffs by a game or two, ownership and dipoto will say "we were in it", Raleigh and Gilbert are going to want to leave, and they're going to say "wait until you see this next generation of guys!". Our championship window is closing rapidly.

In my estimation: to hedge our bets we need to have at least a 3 game lead after that series. That way if things go horribly wrong against the As and Houston sweeps Cleveland; we'd end in a tie (and if we do so badly against Houston that we lose the season series we wouldn't have a chance at the playoffs anyway) which we'd win by default if it came down to a tiebreaker

@@3SailorMartinThat was my prediction, or similar, that we would either sweep or win the series against the Astros, take first place and then get swept by Oakland. Because that’s how we roll.

As the pressure begins to build, they become frustrated. And all it takes is one mistake, and that's, most of the time, is what will decide the winner. Such as the error by Padres.
