Unbelievable observed pitch movement. As a hitter you essentially have no idea where the pitch is going once it’s in the tunnel.

@@TuriSanchez3 I Agree. It also can be said, the Yanks aren't improving their players and when they leave they get better which is not a good sign.

@@TooeaziI honestly feel like that’s why they sent some guys away, they didn’t know how to get them to improve, and I remember someone saying it’s cause NY has a shitton of pressure and I kinda have to agree those guys get the weight of the world put on em compared to other clubhouses, I imagine they still wanna come back tho, shit is like a drug

Sonny Gray understands that as you age if you try to fireball everything you're arm will fall apart...no one told Jacob deGrom this?

Gerri Cole, Mclanahan, and Ohtani have got nothing on this guy. Dude leads the league in pitcher war, ERA+ FIP and hasn’t surrendered a single homerun across 10 different starts.

if he can repeat his career averages for another 5 more years he could be a hall of famer, or at least close to one

Nice gyro slider “cutter”… we really need a name for this pitch or just call it a slider. And your other slider a sweeper/slurve.

Gray has a cutter at about 88 this year, a slider at about 83, and his curve is 79. Last year he was basically throwing 2 kinds of slider, this year its a cutter and a slider.

His ERA is more so from facing mostly mediocre opponents, besides the Yankees. He's been throwing well, he's got good mechanics, and he's been around the league. No reason he would "break down". He won't stay under a 1 ERA all year lmao, he'll regress to the mean.

@Matt Olson Fair enough. I've watched almost every game and forgot about those. No matter, I'm jacked about the Twins having a solid rotation. Even with the injuries we've got solid pitchers in the hopper. This might finally be the year for a run.
