On April 15, 1967, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led one of the largest Vietnam War protests of its time, with 125,000 demonstrators marching from Central Park to the United Nations in New York City. This historic demonstration brought together a diverse group of Americans including students, medical professionals, clergy, and businesspeople. The newsreel also covers a parallel peace march in San Francisco that drew 50,000 participants. While mostly peaceful, both events captured the intense political divide of the era.
