I was an assistant branch manager for a national bank and pitching your MLM to a client is a guarantee to get fired immediately. It is a huge violation of trust. I can’t imagine any bank would not have the same strict policy on something like that. Ironically, MLM people will pitch you all the time at work and I’m just thinking, “You asked me to pull up your account. I can see how broke you are. Clearly this ‘opportunity’ you’re offering me isn’t working out for you.” But of course you can’t say that to them as much as you want to.
@tiararoxeanne1318 Жыл бұрын

That $300 non refundable down payment to attend Beachbody conferences is a real sinister move on the company’s part - how many people do you think get trapped in the sink cost fallacy trying to qualify to attend after paying that?
@tonichan89 Жыл бұрын
Buying a ton of product from yourself to gain points (or whatever) in order to qualify must be a lot of money on its own. And if uou fail to qualify in time? Sucks for you! You've now lost the down payment money, spent a ton of time and coin to rank up/gain points, and you've lost out on the trip.

In what reality do these people live that they feel like having to earn and pay for your work conference is normal 😬 Seeing Zeke in your videos always makes my day! Wasn't that such an ugly little surprise. I found out that all my purchases were considered income through Arbonne. Personal products that I was encouraged to buy, so that I could live a "clean life" was considered both a sale and income...vile and disgusting. And of course not a single person in the upline told me this and I don't even know if they were aware and when I confronted them it was "wow we don't do that here", because conveniently, my ?my upline was located in Canada and Australia. I sent in that story. Yes I’m fairly certain cps has been called on them before but lead to nothing. I am infuriated by the neglect but I am trying to collect more evidence without tipping her off. I am doubtful there is much more that could be done for her son. It is an issue that needed to be caught early to be possibly fixed. I am so torn on it because yes, they are family, but I still think this child could possibly receive better care.
@Sleipnirseight Жыл бұрын
@@smolexfundie6458Ugh, I'm so sorry. CPS all too often is either powerless or unwilling to help (depends on who you get on any given day). Hopefully that child has some adult advocates who can help; child welfare always trumps social or familial obligations. Maybe there are local victim advocacy or child welfare groups, something community-based and grassroots rather than CPS alone. They can assist in figuring out next steps and connecting you to agencies that can/will help. All the best of luck to you and that kid.

I work in a sales role. The managers make time for anyone in the team who needs it, schedule meetings with all the team regularly and they carve out extra time for those who are new or struggling. The idea that you need to "earn" coaching/ time with upline/ manager type roles is very, very weird to me.
@BasilissaKleo7 ай бұрын
Your managers act as they should. An ex manager of mine once told me that part of her job was social, meaning emotionally supporting employees, being the mediator between two quarelling employees, supporting employees by showing them how to do things better, etc. It's so true. But treat members of your team like human beings and they will be ready to work their asses off because they feel seen and respected. I wish more companies understand that.

Your sense of smell is the most powerful memory primer, because that sense is directly weird to the brain. Very, very thin hair like fibers travel throughout openings in the base of the skull called the, "Cribriform Plate". That means smells are essentially hardwired to the brain. So when you smell a certain smell, that memory is more vivid thanks to that connection. My favorite is the smell of chlorine from a pool. Lots of great memories as a kid spending hours in the water.

I'm left wondering something about Sam's story... Would it be possible that her not being the "ideal candidat" to join the MLM could also be the fact that she said she was getting ready to leave a cult already? Surely that bank guy has to be reportable. I wouldn't imagine the bank would endorse his behaviour. Banks (at least where I live in Australia) are becoming much more educated on the importance of providing skilled support to vulnerable clients such as those leaving high control situations such as family violence, so I'd imagine they would likely value hearing about any of their employees who are taking advantage of vulnerable clients like the person who wrote in to you with her story.

The idea of dropping down nearly to where you started makes me think of the show Leverage: Redemption and their anti-MLM episode. There the team of con artists goes up against a baby clothes MLM, the super con artist at its head, and the company's habit of giving its members a 'rebirth.' Meaning dropping them down to their starting rank and stripping them of their team in order to 'help them' become better versions of themselves. It's fiction, so of course the CEO and her husband are publicly revealed as manipulative and are then arrested by federal agents for tax evasion and running an illegal pyramid scheme.

The "YOU CAN SIT WITH US!" perk sounds like it was pulled straight out of the movie Mean Girls. How do they watch that movie and think, "yeah! Regina George is a great role model!"
