Lol I used to be a janitor at a college working nights. I didn't get paid a lot maybe 200 a week. But I didn't mind it. I was there by myself cleaning at my own pace listening to audible. No one bugged me except for security. It's an honest job and I clocked in and out and went home not "bugging" anyone while working.

You know what the great part about jobs like custodians/janitors are? If you work for 20 hours, you get paid for 20 hours. And you don’t have to hit anyone up on insta.

@@marinaumana Same here. I can't say I enjoyed the actual work and I didn't appreciate getting pulled over constantly (small town cops have nothing better to do at 2am) but it was still a relatively relaxing job. Minimal people skills necessary and when I was done for the day, I was truly done. Can't clean over the phone, lol.

Saying they are the “CEO” of their own small business at Arbonne or Beach Body or Monat is the same as me saying I’m the “CEO of KZbin” because I run my own KZbin channel. Just because you run a small business under the umbrella of another corporation ≠ CEO. If it did, watch out Susan!! I’m comin for ya! The whole “it can’t be a pyramid scheme because they’re illegal! 9-5 jobs are technically the same pyramid structure!” Right.. but at my 9-5 i am not required to buy into the company, and recruit the customers to be salesman under me. How do they not understand this... it’s very simple. One relies on recruitment and the other is literally just a regular job that costs $0 to do.. you *COULD* advance to CEO at one, and NEVER at another. Not one person to ever just simply work for an MLM is now the CEO. Correct? Keep exposin’ them, you internet troll you. You’re killing it! 🙏🏼💕🙌🏻

@Hannah if you work in any kind of customer facing role, you absolutely do need to buy suff from your employer. I'm not defending mlms but lets not pretend sales staff don't have to buy new season clothing for uniform and that restaurant staff aren't expected to have tried most menu items. mlms are very predatory, but all they really are is capitalism on steroids. unless you are part of the top half a percent at any company, your labour and your skills are being exploited so that someone else can make a profit.

@platedlizard
@platedlizard 4 жыл бұрын
@@charlottet9035 i have never bought anything from my current employer because our product is free to employees. Some places make you wear work-appropriate clothing but even then you don't actually have to BUY it from them. When I worked for Walmart i regularly wore clothing I bought at Ross, for example and if my entire wardrobe came from elsewhere it would have been ok too. It's simply not true that employers force employees to buy from them. They may suggest it, but it's actually illegal for them to force it.

Alright I have never left a comment on youtube, but I am related to the girl in the last video. I know for a fact that she is constantly lying about how much she makes and how much she pays for. Her parents pay for the majority of her expenses (she is still in college) yet she tells people that she pays for it all through Monat. It is the federal Government's primary litigation tool in combating fraud against the Government. So I guess you can get away with lying to someone you're trying to recruit as long as the government gets the truth.... kind of sucks

That's them being brainwashed ... They should spend a day being an actual owner of a business ... Guarantee they don't think their CEOs anymore ... And another thing, it's beyond cringy when they said they're a CEO. Who says that? Unless you an actual CEO of a fortune 500 company, you just look like an idiot saying that ... Like technically on paper I'm the CEO of my pressure washing company ... I'd never say it though ... And I'd NEVER tell anyone how "successful" I am or how much money I make. That's always the first sign someone is lying, cause people making good money, at least the ones I know, almost never discuss it. It's just bad taste, and why would anyone even care? Last thing I want is friends and family knowing how much money I'm making.

This whole "I own my own business" mentality really boils my blood. I know calling yourself a girl boss makes you feel important and I hate to bring you back down to reality here, but you are a sales rep for a corporation. You do not own anything. This corporation that you just love so much chose an illegal business model so that they don't have to pay their sales reps directly, don't offer any benefits, no insurance, no 401K, no overtime, no paid time off, nothing. The fact that your job security is quite literally at the mercy of the company means you are NOT a business owner. Be smarter than this and choose a better career path.

Thats half true, I guess you don't go to Facebook to see ads, or to KZbin. But you accept them. You don't always go out to meet people but sometimes you do. I'm in no way defending MLM's, just saying that promoting something in social media is how the world works right now. If that's so annoying you can choose to not use it.
@OhLanie
@OhLanie 4 жыл бұрын
@@Roblers but on FB and YT I can opt out of particular ads. Every time I've said no to a MLM they continued pushing and arguing or spammed me. The ads on FB and YT have to meet certain criteria to be posted and are usually targeted to things you have searched for. You can change those settings. You can't opt out or change the settings of someone pushing products or a "career opportunity" that MLM folks do. There is a difference there.

There are so many legitimate jobs out there like pharmaceutical sales, and business lending, that are commission only positions. These jobs pay really well for a good salesman/hustler. However, they are legitimate and at least offer there employees health insurance and 401k options. If you want a job in which you are totally responsible for your own earning potential, by all means go for it, but do it with a reputable company that doesn’t scam people and require you to buy the products/services. The small percentage of people in MLM’s that are making money, are truly making money off the backs of the helpless.

Not only that but you can get great benefits and insurance from some corporations. You can get sick days and vacations. Plus, you get raises and seniority in many jobs. They don't ever consider that they're the customer, not the business. I've seen many people in my life fall into MLMs and they're poor or barely making it. And when they picked it up they pointed to the label and was like "have you ever heard of scentsy?" And I was like no... And they went into this whole pitch and interrogated me about my home life and stuff to see if I could benefit from their products and I was just... trapped there because I couldn't give them their food or anything they just would ignore me... What a nightmare... I got reamed for taking so long because we do more than one delivery a run and other peoples orders were sitting in my car... It’s also hella privileged to tell people that they should just be fine making $14 paychecks during the first year of their business & that’s no reason to quit a job. Um...hello?? Some people don’t have time to work for nothing just to maybe someday make a livable wage. “You don’t go into a normal job expecting to instantly be promoted” well of course not but a normal job has a base pay that can be expected & relied upon. It’s especially wrong when these women target single moms, military spouses, young women who really need the money. It’s messed up to say that they should just be ok working for this company & selling these products without any gain, and that those who get out of that are “giving up”.

The predatory and dangerous behavior has become so much worse though. Examples being: going into fb support groups for women suffering loss (usually widows or miscarriages), purposefully taking a picture of their younique card to pretend like they used it only to use an actual card for the transaction, the entirely wrong and dangerous ways they use essential oils, most of them are anti-vax as well, trying to circumvent groups who ban mlms by using different terminology to trick people, the list goes on. My main problem though is how they’re either willingly selling dangerous products, or advertising products to be used in ways that are dangerous. I heard a story of a woman using tea tree oil on her friends dogs ear infection, the dog was put on actual medication by the owner, and the dog died because the dumb woman didn’t know that concentrated tea tree oil is deadly to dogs. Also it was an essential oil, not an extract, which purpose is to be used for aromatherapy and should not be used topically or ingested.
