As a former barista I can tell you our aprons and hats were provided for us. You know what my job also provided- health insurance, dental insurance, pet insurance, 401K match...etc not 1 mlm consultant has ever said their company provides insurance.

As a married woman I can testify that when I say "my husband says no" 99% of the time I never even talked to him about it 😂 the other 1% is me talking to him but the conversation went like "this Hun bot wants me to join her pyramid scheme" and then we laugh and enjoy our 9-5 jobs with benefits and real competitive pay.

As a Starbucks barista I can tell you that when you’re hired, they give you aprons and hats and train you FOR FREE!! They even provide you a website that sells Starbucks dress code approved clothes, shoes, and jackets at a discount. They also provide free college and great benefits something I can’t say about MLM’s lmao Edit: Starbucks didn’t cost me my integrity, but it did cost me to lose my patience with peoples BS.

Not26AnymoreBeauty girl I totally feel that. I’m not the greatest with money; I’ve been clean a while now, but I tend to overspend on makeup because I’m just so used to frequently spending money. It’s a stupid habit. My husband & I have decided if I spend more than 20 I need to run it by him. So when Pat McGrath had 20% off site wide, we BOTH spent a considerable amount of time picking out lip glosses & eyeshadow. So I don’t buy makeup anymore unless I’m super excited about it, we both love it, or I run out of something. & because the husband is involved I ask for stuff a lot less, understandably.

Exactly. If you are in a relationship where your partner degrades you, makes you feel like you are worthless and that you are awful, tells you that you are ugly and makes you feel as though you can't ever succeed without them means you are in an unhealthy and abusive relationship and you need to get out of it. It's sad that so many people are suffering through relationships like this, and it is absolutely terrifying.

In my early 20’s, I bought a product from an mlm sales rep. She seemed strangely unenthusiastic about a customer wanting to buy a product. She set up an appointment to come over and talk to me about an opportunity. When she came over, she wanted to recruit me. I explained to her that I would be starting hairdressing school soon, and had no driver’s license. So I would have no time or transportation for becoming a sales rep. She tried to talk me out of going to hairdressing school, saying that her mlm company would give me all the training I needed for a successful career. She wouldn’t leave, either. She stayed for hours, pressuring and rebutting me. I was almost in tears by the end of it. A few years later, I heard she went to hairdressing school herself. But it would have been okay for me not to go, as long as she got a recruit.

@Im Chillin Calling me weak and a fool because you don't fully understand what I mean is clearly an issue. The girl discussing her miscarriage and saying that she could have taken a step back “and that’s fine... if that’s what kind of person you are”. Her language was so rude and dismissive of other people who have also gone through that and had to step back to grieve and process... like it implies oh if you need to take a break after going through something so difficult that you’re lazy and not a hard working type of person.
@KRSims-tr7zj

I noticed that, too. That subtle hint of judgment. She was definitely the most egregious hun out of the lot

I was in Beachbody when I went through my miscarriage in 2015 and that was exactly how it felt. That and they really did encourage me to use the loss to 'connect with others who have gone through the same thing'. It was a big thing that I even told my upline about the miscarriage because I'm pretty shy - I didn't even tell my real life job's boss, just told him I needed a week off for a procedure and he didn't ask any questions other than if I would be okay and how he could help (super appreciative of that from him). I'm open about it now because no woman should feel shamed for experiencing a loss of any kind, and that's what these companies do :(

Cristen Faulkenberry I’m so sorry you went through that, and I’m even more sorry they made you feel even worse about it. It’s disgusting how belittling they are of people who need to take a break especially for A SUPER AVALID reason. Like “if that’s the kind of person you are” what? Human? Feeling emotions? They push this narrative because they need the people under them to be selling at all times in order for them to get their cheques. It’s crazy too because before you sign up they give you this idea that you’ll be so successful so fast that you can work whenever you want, or as little as you want, but then when someone actually needs to take a break they’re like “ok sure if you’re lazy and don’t care about success....” like what happened to being in control of “your business” and “work as little as you want”

I was diagnosed with stage 2 Cervical Cancer in Aug 2013. I was just 17 wks pregnant with Seth at the time. My OB wanted me to terminate my son, & get the surgery. I told my OB, "Hell to the NO!! NEVER gonna happen. He may be my only son, that I ever have!" Well my OB & I after a pretty headed argument, we came to the agreement, that when my son turned 4 months old, I would get the surgery. While knowing I may never have another child again. I'm glad I went through it the way I did. Because Seth is still my Only son to this day. It took till Seth turned 3 yrs old for me to get pregnant again, but miscarried at 7 wks pregnant. Then 11 months after that I got pregnant with my 4th child Serenity Rose. Serenity is my rainbow baby😍 but seriously tho. People who use infertility to their own personal greed gain, really piss me TF off. Makes me wanna jump through the phone & strangle TF outta them!!

I feel bad for the guy stuck with the “I need to wake up early” chick. He was clearly asking to spend some time with her. She’s lucky she has someone that wants to spend time with her (especially acting like that.) She turned it into an argument and completely missed that he was communicating in his wording that he wanted/needed more time and she clearly was saying he wasn’t a priority and she doesn’t care about anyone other than herself. And for the record “I have to ask my husband” is also a polite way to say I don’t want to do this and I know me saying no isn’t going to be taken as an answer from you!

Right? And her whole thing about her husband not needing to understand why she gets up early while he's still asleep - if it's an issue for the relationship, yes, he does need to understand. I was talking about this with my husband. If I was just getting up early while he was sleeping, that's fine. If he suddenly says something about it in the context of it taking time away from our time together, I absolutely owe him an explanation. I owe myself an explanation. It's time for me to evaluate if what I'm getting up early for is worth it or could be done at a different time. Maybe it is, and that's fine when my husband understands and agrees. Maybe it isn't, and I need to change my schedule.

My daughter started her job at Starbucks a few months ago. She was given a list of colors and styles of clothing she can wear. She was given an apron. She spent NO money to start her job, and she's a barista. Also, she gets SO much free stuff when she's on the clock. Like tons of food and drinks. She can also have her college paid for by working for Starbucks so...there's that. These women are delusional.

It does help you feel a little better sometimes, but hooooooly hell sometimes it's just a big no no. Like, my mother is dying and going for a run clears my head but my happiness remains low, or if I just feel "off" it doesn't magically cure shit! me thinks this girl is a sociopath and she does not feel sorry, which is why those sad times don't affect her like a normal human.
