As a woman with endometriosis the “my body isn’t doing the one thing it was made for” really upset me. My fellow infertile buddies, your body was meant to do so much more than that. It was meant to help you live and experience the world. And maybe it’s failed you in this aspect but you gotta love it for all the other things it’s done for you. The times you’ve felt the sun shine on your skin, and the warmth of the rats enveloped you. The times you’ve tasted your favorite meal. The joyous times that may seem so distant right now. Even when you are wracked with gut wrenching sobs, is it not painfully beautiful that your body can hold you together when it feels the very fiber of your being falls apart. Things will be hard, and you are allowed to hate that, but you will get through this.

If she's bloated after EVERY time she eats, she needs to reevaluate what she is eating. I got really really sick last year in the summer with bloating, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, seemingly EVERY time I ate I had some issue (sometimes to sleep I needed a heating pad on my stomach). I ended up being diagnosed allergic to eggs, sensitive to lactose and gluten (not celiac or autoimmune related), and with an active SIBO infection. The SIBO needed 2 weeks of antibiotics (ya know, internally), and I had to follow a Low FODMAP diet for 6 weeks. The oil garbage won't do anything. Please talk to your GP if you're having gastro issues before resorting to slathering yourself with oils.

As someone with Celiac disease, this is accurate. If you are bloated and gassy and uncomfortable after EVERY meal, that's not normal and topical oils aren't going to do anything. Something that my psychiatrist mentioned about melatonin is it's one of the worst sufferers of supplements not being regulated. So some of it is actually good and useful, but a lot of what's out there isn't anywhere near as strong or effective as it claims.
@shawnconway60098 ай бұрын
When you deal with an mlm, there are only two paths to end. Out of money and realizing that it was a scam, or realizing it was a scam and deciding the problem was that it wasn't your scam.

Things about melatonin: Works best generally if you use a lower dose, and used only temporarily each time 😊

Yes. Even the melatonin bottles say that. It’s not to be used regularly

The YL folks claim that if you rub clockwise, it speeds things up; counterclockwise slows things down. thoughts?
@elsathorson8309 ай бұрын
Maybe it has to do with pressure and the position of stomach/other digestive organs? Idk. But maybe that's why they think it works. Because using the oil they are sort of massaging the stomach etc?

When I was an Amway rep my upline told me that "Amway doesn't have to pay for ads because that's the reps' job to advertise for Amway". What a joke. I don't even know what they hoped to gain by telling me that lie. They were so used to lying that they lied even when it wasn't necessary.

Hi Hannah! I've binged so many of your videos now. I usually go for harsh and snappy people, but I feel like your graciousness and calm is something so needed in my life right now and it feels like it comes so naturally from you. This might be my most recent time catching up with you (14 hours behind, still!) and I'm happy to see more of your content.

I totally agree! I usually also watch quite snappy commentators but Hannah IS so sweet. ❤️

7:42 yeah, that's just a basic gas massage. If you're ever gassy/bloated, rub your belly in a clockwise motion (going downward on the left hand side) and you'll make yourself pass gas and feel better. Just do it like every 5 min or so until the bloating is all gone.

I will never forget when I took melatonin for the first time in years a few years ago, and it gave me the worst nightmares. Since I'm an insomniac and sleep terribly well I thought maybe I was just exhausted, but I took it again and the same thing happened. I was so heart broken, especially since I have been trying to get off trazadone.
@eZepernick Жыл бұрын
Melatonin is completely linked to nightmares and night terrors, especially if you’re already prone to them. I have gotten terrible ones from taking melatonin too. I’m sorry you’ve had to experience that!

I have had nightmares when I take it as well! I started to take magnesium glycinate, which relaxes me. It doesn’t put me to sleep, but i feel it has helped me sleep through the night without waking up. Of course not advice for your specific situation but it does work quite well for me.

So I know I’m about to comment on a video that is easily a year old, but the fertility segment infuriated me. I went through 5 years of treatment before having our little boy and I’ll be damned if I can count on my fingers and toes how many times some said “well did you try this..” or “I heard…” or pitched me a powder or a juice or an oil or a diet. My cousin even tried to pitch me CBD oil while I was in the middle of IVF. I feel for her, clearly, but that’s not the way to do things. Thank you, Hannah 💗

I have Pyloric spasms (the muscle controlling the valve into my stomach spasm). When I was in highschool my friends mom sold Doterra and she gave me a cotton ball with several drops of dill oil and told me to rub it over the area. It helped. The undiluted oil caused a (strong) warming sensation and the motion of rubbing the area helped. I went to my local health store the next day to buy a bottle (it luckily never occured to me to ask about buying it from my friends mom and she never tried to sell it to me, though she did sell to other friends parents). Now I associate the scent of Dill with relief. So now I have a properly diluted mix of dill, lavender, and jasmine I diffuse when the pain gets bad. Normally just the scent helps calm them, but applied topically if it's really baf. I still wonder how much of it is placebo.
@maryeckel9682 Жыл бұрын
The belly rub probably eased the spasm response. I do an esophageal rub that actually calms down GERD. No oils required. Dill oil sounds pretty yummy smelling, though! That said, it sounds like you now do have a placebo effect happening.

😂"Your body is not doing what it was made for." Really!? My heart is pumping blood. My lungs are rocking respiration. You go, girls! My legs work in spite of yesterday being "leg day". My senses are taking in input that my brain is using to understand the world around me. My immune system is at work and is doing what it needs to do. And my brain is complex but healthy. So, my body does seem to be doing what it is supposed to be doing. The fact that my uterus has never held a growing baby is not how I measure my body's success. I love myself and my body too much for that.

You can rub your belly and massage the gas out. Gas X works better, but a massage does help in a pinch by getting the gas to move. No oils required unless you just want to.

My question to the first Atilla The Hun is why aren't you trying to figure out why you're always bloated and solve the problem rather than treat the after effects? I don't get bloated every time I eat. You should seriously look into that Hun.
@blindfin359 Жыл бұрын
You can also just rub your belly when you have gas. No need for any oils. It helps your intestines get working and also can "free" gasses through the movement. That works on babies works on adults. But - If you experience a bloating after every meal you should also check for allergies/intollerances. That is not normal or healthy.

Which is nuts. I get asked if my soap is made with YL or doTERRA oils and I have to stifle a scoff with my no. Those oils are crazy expensive, no better quality than much cheaper options available in bulk, and the amount needed depending on the product you're making is either so little or much more than what you can make selling it at regular prices. My basic batch of soap makes 10 bars, depending on the fragrance I'm using and it's safe usage rates, I need between 1 and 2 oz. A bottle of those oils is typically .33 oz, I minimum need 3 bottles 😓 nope, nah, nuh uh.

I just recently went up to stay with my cousin, and in her bathroom, I found a doterra branded box FULL of oils. It looks like one of those collector boxes. She even had so many, they didn't fit into the container. Thankfully, I don't think she sells them, or is a part of the MLM, but I was kind of amazed she had them, given we live in Australia, where MLMs aren't so prevalent. I've also been seeing those KZbin shorts with people who are using the phrases of 'network marketing' and being really vague about what it is they're trying to promote. I always report them now, and ask that the algorithm doesn't recommend them to me (however effective that is). As always, a lovely video. Thanks for sharing. I hope you have a wonderful day.
