So now I'm a bit disappointed to see that you're promoting Factor and Hello Fresh - services that are of course convenient but pretty bad from a sustainable point of view because of all the packaging and the fact that it's an extra delivery to your door step :( Love your anti-MLM content nevertheless! ❤

I've pretty much stopped going to craft shows and farmers markets. There is always too much MLM stuff in my area and it was hard for me in the past to not purchase products from people I knew because I also was a Hun for awhile. So the best thing for me is to not go. I might go to one or two shows a year but I now treat them like garage sales and antique stores in that it is okay to look and not buy. My favorite excuse is that I'm a minimalist or currently decluttering or using up the products I have but I will maybe keep them in mind when I would like to make a purchase in the future. Living in a small town, every one is either a Hun, a crafter or a baker. Well, I'm never going to be a Hun again, I like to do my own crafting and I like my own baking better than most people. 😆

Very true. I'm an aussie and My SIL got sucked into Younique (sorry spelling) and my older sister and I gathered soooo much evidence to show her it was an MLM scam. This was also back in 2016 so there was nowhere near as many videos available but we still had a bunch of info to show her it was not legit and she was going to lose all her money. My brother had no idea she put everything at the beginning on his credit card and oh my when he found out, he was beyond angry. The thing that my sister and I could not understand is why she just wouldn't even listen to us AND she has never known how to apply make up...like at all. We always did her make up for her on spesh occasions etc so it made no sense. She scammed soooo many of her friends who she doesn't understand why they stopped talking to her and are still not friends with her. It took about a year for her to realise she was in a hole and had SO much product that was sitting just going bad. I refused to buy anything from her as I stuck to my morals but my sister was nice and got some crappy eye shadows. I got mad at my sister cos she was enabling her but I can see why she wanted to support her. It's now the main thing we aren't allowed to talk about or bring up by her which I think is just ridiculous. Oh btw my SIL is probably one of the most selfish and entitled person I've ever met so it all made sense.

Australian here, I can see why mums do this. I only bought products for myself and my mum as I enjoyed them and we got a discount, never did any parties nor was I pushed to do them. I stopped buying because it got too expensive and I couldn’t no longer afford to buy a $25 bottle of shower wash.

Not if you have a couple of kids that will have to go into day care. That eats a big chunk of your pay, plus you don't get to spend that time with them every day. I can easily see why especially stay at home mothers or fathers would get into these "jobs" for the income. And if you live farther out from wherever the jobs are, all the more reason. Just being able to avoid having to get small children up and going very early in the morning, driving them to day care then driving to work, working, coming home and then wanting to spend time with the kids but still having things like dinner and laundry to tend to makes it worth it if you can make at least equal to minimum wage. Or even a bit less, since you wouldn't be bringing home minimum wage after child care anyway.

In the past I've contemplated joining an MLM too because I thought they were a legit way to work from home and get a decent income. The people I knew who were a part of one were usually the sweetest people and it made the job look so fun and kind of easy. But the reality just does not match up. It's not your fault you were kind of duped. It happens to the best of people. Now you're out and that's great

Great vid!! Love the festive spin. As someone who just got back from early Xmas with a cousin who told us her Herbalife storefront woes (there’s 4 on this street alone!) and put colorstreet in everyone’s stockings, I very much appreciate the jab at MLMers’ shady holiday tactics

The Xmas seller who wants to hit the next level made me awfully sad. It smells of desperation.

I remember one of my wake up calls was when my SIL bought tastefully simple from me only to gift it back to me 😄😄😄 Not that I didn’t like the stuff, but something about it made me realize people didn’t really want to buy it for all thier family and friends 😂😂😂

Hannah, you have unapologetically been spitting truth and I don’t want you to stop. I have been watching you from the beginning and I love the confidence you have been getting to call out the nonsense and clearly say how ridiculous these huns are. Keep it up!!

Our once a year holiday bazaar is slowly allowing MLM huns to set up booths. I’ve made sure to point them out to friends.

If only mlmers put their passion and hard work into forming a skill or trade, they could legit follow most of their own advice and actually do something great! Art, content creation, freelance work for countless skills--the options these days are endless! And they legit DO give you satisfaction in yourself and your work. You can start from nothing and work to make something of yourself, all without a soulless, toxic company.

I live in Western PA and it has gotten so bad that unless a craft show specifically states “handmade items only”, I do not give them the time of day. I love craft shows or holiday markets as they are sometimes called in the area, but absolutely REFUSE to set foot in one that advertises as having “vendors.” That’s a dead giveaway they allow MLM companies to promote their products.

The Advent calendar is just the products without the markup for the rep 😂

I know I am late to this video but just recently came by your channel and now binging your videos 😂 my aunt has been in an mlm for 10+ years now and guess what we are gifted for every christmas/birthday since then… yes you guessed it! And that is because she is so stocked up on these products and paid so much money for them that there is no other way for her to get rid of them…

I just about spit out my drink at the price of that Advent calendar. $300! WTF!

Yes, there was a whole closet I kept all my extra stuff in and that was what I pulled from for gifts every year. And we held an annual "Christmas Expo" when you could invite your customers and former downline to buy products to give away for Christmas. It was a great way to get customers or IBOs who are inactive reengaged by inviting them to the event.

I’m so happy that many of our local craft pop up places like at the mall and farmers markets they don’t allow mlm at all. It takes away from actual small businesses! More places should start catching on.

I love how in story # 4 she says the makeup bags were only like $10 or $15, but doesn't even mention how many hundreds of dollars the Monat products cost
@SkwithOv11 ай бұрын
so wait the calendar was $300, valued at $600, but the products inside are all 40% off the day they're opened?? so it's worth just over $300, and you could just buy the individual products on sale that you want instead for about the same amount (maybe plus shipping, idk how shipping works for that company)

I own a gift boutique but got my small business started as an artisan jewelrymaker doing craft and vendor shows. Most craft shows will allow one of each MLM vendor. I've been set up near Paparazzi and guesssss whoooo these customers are going to buy from? $5 necklace vs $20+? Yeah. I never did well at shows when Paparazzi was near me. I have made friends with a Red Aspen girl who is chill as hell though, so that's cool

I've pretty much stopped going to craft fairs or Christmas bazaars when there is one around me. There are a few vendors who make their products, or are truly small local business but most are MLM reps. It's disappointing to go thinking I might find some unique gift only to see mostly tables filled with what you can tell are MLM products.
@lexbel839411 ай бұрын
lol my local Christmas bazaar was at our fairgrounds where there’s several different buildings clustered together. Not sure if they did it intentionally but all the MLM vendors were grouped together in one building which happened to be the most distant one

One thing I’ve noticed similar amongst all Huns is that they always have a video (or 2 or 3…) in which they start off by saying “I usually don’t post something like this…”. Yes, they do. They have several videos of them posting about the same thing!

I do craft/vendor fairs and I can't STAAAAAND when they include MLMs. It takes away from so many others who create something. I try to choose shows that don't include them, but sometimes it's hard. Sigh.

Hannah, your knack for providing simplified explanations and facial expressions (that mirrors my own in a lot of places) in response to these MLM videos is truly delightful. I wholeheartedly resonate with your principle on not supporting MLMs, and it pains me to witness unsuspecting family members being lured into these deceptive schemes. It's particularly disheartening when those who can least afford it end up making that regrettable mistake!

Christmas craft fairs here (Nova Scotia, Canada) are full of mlm reps. The craft fairs call them 'vendors' or 'direct sellers'. I used to sell at craft fairs (things I actually made, not mlm stuff) and it was hard to find shows that were for actual crafters only. I also saw an ad for a craft fair last year where almost all of the listed sellers were different mlms.

That Christmas bazaar is in Killeen Texas, Killeen is a military post town. As you already know MLM's target military wives. Those "rent to own" places also are big there and also predatory. I hated Killeen.

At least the ornament is wood so it’s more likely to decompose when it gets tossed in a few years when the rep leaves the company
