This is like some bronies Roleplaying in a chat room. It opens with Not Rainbow Dash writing several posts by himself, trying to get someone else to interact with him. Then someone who actually knows him, Marijuana, logs in and responds to him. After that Dusk writes almost a whole paragraph of him just talking to himself, before Brave and the nurse start chatting with each other, as they've probably done a lot of roleplaying with each other before. Then Not Rainbow Dash decides to try and interact with them as Marijuana is afk. Turns out she was actually having a private conversation with Not Twilight Sparkle, asking if she wanted to continue from where they left off last time. So Marijuana asks Brave, just 'cause everyone knows who he is, if she can help with Not Twilight Sparkles tantrum, and he solves it the only way he knows how, 'cause he's actually a pervert who prefers to do sexual roleplay, by tackling her to the ground and hugging her. Not Twilight is okay with this. And then it goes on and on and on and on, finally resulting in one of them saying: "Hey, you know what would be great? Let's copy paste all that we've written here, and make a video out of it! For Bronies by Bronies!" This is not a story. This oozes roleplay to the moon and back. And they also had to accept Not Rainbow Dash to be allowed to voice his OC, 'cause he wouldn't stop hassling them about it. Urgh.

I love the people below trying to defend this "They're not professionals, give them a break and let them grow!" "Its not like you could do any better!" 1. If you tell someone that something they are doing is good 100% of the time, they will never improve, thats what criticism is for, to grow as an artist. 2. Mr. Enter IS doing an animated series called "Growing Around" and the first episode is a little more then half way done. the sample clips we've seen shows good animation, understandable voice actors and a charming plot. So yes, he is doing better.

Yes, thank you! I believe Enter and his team can eventually make it on TV with Growing Around. I really do. I also want to bring up that if they're only HALFWAY through the 1st episode, then they are obviously taking their time to get it done right. Im not saying that the Dusk's Dawn team should get NO credit, but this is bad. They need to be pushed to do better, and with this kind of thing you cant just hold their hand through it.

I get that the hug was an Avatar the Last Airbender reference but there's a huge problem: it doesn't work here. The reason it worked for Avatar is because Katara and Aang had a special connection. They cared deeply about each other. Aang even chose not to give her up because he loved her, despite not being able to control the Avatar state as a result. The reason it doesn't work here: these two characters had no previous interaction. They don't have a meaningful friendship or connection of any kind. In reality, that hug shouldn't have done anything.

Thats why I mostly don't care for fan-fictions (of any kind). 1) OC's I don't know or care for 2) obvious cliche evil ark sides/ doppelgänger 3) unneeded drama 4) never feels like something that could be in the actual show. I would like to see at least one fan-writer who can write a story that feels like it could be an actual episode of the show it's based on (not counting suicide squidward).

Turnabout Storm did roughly the same thing for the Ace Attorney series. Concealed the Conclusion and Touhou Danmaku All-Star Medley are pretty well-made Touhou fangames, in addition to the two well-received fan-animes (Fantasy Kaleidoscope: Memories of Phantasms and Touhou Musou Kakyou: A Summer Day's Dream) ...As for actual TV shows, the best I've got was the He-Man vs. Lion-O Death Battle by ScrewAttack. They had the cheesy 80s dialogue down pat ("A whirlwind should *blow* him off course!"), at the very least. Honor Trip and Dragon Ball Multiverse are decent Dragon Ball Z fan works--the former written and apparently very good, the latter a fan-comic that mimics the original art style surprisingly well *and* does a great job with canon personalities. There are adaptations that stay true to the original spirit; the thing is, animated works have ridiculous production values *at best*, and most people don't want to try an "original flavor" work in a different medium because the adjustment is difficult. There are plenty out there, though. They're just hard to find.

That should get you started. It's how I found Turnabout Storm and Touhou, as a matter of fact.

What I hate about these kind of villains is when they know they're evil, but don't really justify it. I like villains who can justify why they are doing whatever they are doing. I like villains who actually make a very good point as to why they're villains. "I'm evil because I'm evil" is a bullshit excuse that no writer should ever use.

I phrased what I said terribly. I'm going to try and explain this. A villain should not look at himself as the villain, but if you give a villain enough reason to see himself as the villain it can work very well. If you're villain just says "I'm evil, why the fuck not" It rarely works. Especially here. The Joker works because he is a sociopath, and he knows that. he is aware that he has no control over it. He actually thinks he has to be the villain, he believes there can't be order without chaos, and that he has to be the chaos. And it works very well. I need to learn to phrase things better.

Berserkers were infamous vikings who usually wore a bear's hide to signify that they were strong and powerful, who never seemed to fear death and who got themselves into an unnatural state of rage for battles, hence why we say going berserk when we speak of going into an unnatural state of anger. The reason why the translation mistake happened was cause Ber is an old word for bear, but it also mean being bare (like bare chested) and serk/serki was an old type of shirt, so the translators that berserker/berserki meant "bare chested", when in really was more like "Bear shirt". Sorry if you were not in the mood to get this detailed comment being serious on a comment of yours that is two months old.

The tornadoes and glowing eyes just scream Avatar State and the way she was calmed down is very similar to the way Katara is able to calm Aang when he's in the Avatar State. I'm just surprised that she didn't have an arrow on her head.

This is why I don't like fan-made animations with OC's. It's like this in my opinion: if you aren't a popular brony on KZbin, you feel left out because you will never be included in fan-fiction animation. The animator just expects you to understand what's going on in the story, and... You can't.
