JDF and Kevin Conroy’s passings really hit hard, I’m glad we were able to see them perform, JDF and the many other talented individuals whom we have lost may be gone, but they will never be forgotten. Also kudos for promoting the suicide helpline silver!
@connorthompson8376 Жыл бұрын
It’s sad to hear about the state of his mental health. And I’m glad you promoted the suicide prevention line. You’re right to say that there is so much we are not entitled to know, and that there is a lot we hold in reserve as we face society. That being said, I don’t think it’s as easy as telling someone to “just see a shrink.” I think that we as a people need to become more literate about mental health, so that we may help ourselves and each other. But that does not diminish the role of professionals, provided they continue to iron out their own flaws.

I had the pleasure of meet Jason David Frank several times, and I do have a story...I first met him at Niagara Falls (Canada) Comic Con. It was the first time I got to meet him. I was buzzing with excitement. I was a huge fan of the series and his character. I wanted to be that cool, and waiting in that line...he only got cooler. He started dancing with someone in a full body pikachu costume and he had a special needs kid come up to him in a wheel chair, so he pushes him around the convention center. You could see that kids face light up with joy. I obviously got something signed and he even gave me free signed stickers and cards, and when he died I didn't sell them. I instead gave those signed cards and stickers...to Jasper Pie. Cuz I know that's what he would have done.

Truth be told i was born in the year of 1993 which was the year power rangers came to the world and i was only 2 months old when the show began, it took many years forme to start watching the show and i loved it with all my heart, even when the times when MMPR ended and when other ranger shows were made such as power rangers in space, lost galaxy and so on i never stopped watching power rangers including the next seasons of the shows, then when Wildforce came and JDF returned in Forever red i was happy he came back which made me a bit sad that it was his final time being a ranger till his epic comeback as the black ranger in dino thunder which became one of my favorite seasons. as time went by as the ranger legacy continued even the times of megaforce to ninja steel it was a honor to see JDF take up the ranger suits once more till i heard he retired from being a power ranger which was a sad time but it was also a honorable Heroes Farewell for all the Courage and light he gave to all his fans. But last year when i heard of the incident at first i thought it was a false report to get fans riled up, but the next day was when i found out the news was real that it crushed me and many others. even after a year since the loss of our childhood Hero JDF i am trying my best to continue my love for power rangers but i still have troubles staying strong everytime i see The green and white rangers JDF used to act as. JDF will always and forever be my Hero and i hope that someday, somewhere in the world, JDF will Comeback to the world, not as the ranger we know but the ranger we will always remember till the very end of time. RIP JDF, you will always be Tommy Oliver and will always be the best Ranger in the universe.

@@EpicFableBean He is awesome to meet. I met him back in Boston Fanfest 2019 while I was going through a dark period of my life because my best friend had died from a combination of a cardiac arrest and lethal concussion in his home. He has no idea how much he had improved my morale to continue in life and I was saddened to hear about his passing. Everyone has their demons and wear their masks to hide these demons; as fans, we should be the rangers to fight our own demons and wear our mask to inspire others to do what's right to us, not to hide our misery.

turbo was a below average season even with tommy around. tommy in turbo honestly felt way more wooden than he was in mmpr s2, s3 and zeo. only reason why people acknowledge it now and tommy as the red turbo ranger (even though the lc figure says TJ since we all know TJ held onto the powers way longer) is because of JDF's passing. before and during super megaforce, nobody acknowledge Tommy as the true turbo red. it wasn't until years later that people changed their minds.

I've heard Linkara say it, I've heard you say it, and I've heard a few others say it. But I was a kid when the show first came out on TV. I was THE target demographic. And when Mighty Morphin came to an end, I was on pins and needles. I wasn't sure if the show was going to return. I didn't know if that was the end of the Rangers or not. Waiting for an announcement, any kind of news, was agonizing. Can you tell how big of a fan I was back then? The cliffhanger took me by surprise, the announcement of Zeo took me by surprise, ALL of it was a surprise to me! Yet so many others who also grew up with it say they were not surprised. Interesting fact about 13:11 - Super Sentai normally preserves all the suits used in those “giant mech” fights. The Thunder Megazord (Dairen’Oh) and White Tigerzord (Won Tiger) are the only suits they allowed to be destroyed - by the American production team. For a truly unique sense of destruction and hopelessness.
