I'm so glad you didn't feel obligated to play the "boss battle" in full! Great example of how trpgs are different from video games, which is often forgotten in the current RPG scene. Also, according the subtitles, Nicola considers that sorcerer to be "dangerous chocolate" which is not a turn of phrase I'm familiar with 😆

That was a very well done twist! And the banshee has a sense of honor. Each character's personality shone through in this episode. The feel of the moment when the assassin's bolt struck the unscrupulous leader - those who break justice must, themselves, pay the price.

Wow, things are ramping up. I've been part of the Carlos Season 4 gang since he's had a name, but Nikola getting a debt to a goddess this late in the season is a story I want to see finished. Then there's the undead from season 2 that's probably coming back at some point, in addition to whatever Arn is getting into next. Maybe Season 4 will have to have an ensemble cast rather than focusing on any one character. Perhaps we'll get a tournament arc.

I do like how Edbert's relationships and influence seems to pay off like the friendship with Captain Nikola (that guy deserves his own season.) in a weird way; he became the 'Simon' of this season. Vale; Edbert planted enough doubt for an assassin to doubt in her superior's goals which this asshat revealed his true colors and in refusing to give Edbert a fair trial thus.. Vale saved Edbert from what could had been a fatal encounter.

Fantastic episode as usual. I’m absolutely loving the bromance that’s developed between Edbert and Captain Nikula. Nikula has become one of my favourite characters this season. I got goosebumps when he stepped in to save Edbert from his pact. Can’t wait to see what the developments of this episode have in store for him in the future!

Finally caught up! And what an episode! SPOILERS "What will this mean for the future of the captain? [Nikula]" It means, season 4?! 😅 Either as the hero... or the (unwilling?) villain? And what a twist at the end! I was suspecting Veil might side with Edbert, maybe abandon the Order, but I did NOT expect her to TURN on the Order and gank Octavious who's been built up as a "big bad scary guy" for half the season! Amazing!

Even though I'm not overly into the Dominion RPG system, Trevor's solo play is great (he is an experienced voice actor, after all) . I'd love to see what he'd do with a game system/setting like Mork Borg.

While I love all 3 seasons of MM&D, I can understand why people say season 2 is the weakest one, which I don't agree. Some factor that may involve is how the setting of the Ironland is less spectacular compared to the other. And in some crucial time the odds are good for Arne, which is good in terms of playing the game but make the narrative weaker from the lack of conflict, for example with the Husk. The first time Arne never encounter him. And the second he came alone even though he should have subordinates under him. Also, the randomness of chaos factor could play a role compared to Ironland's system. But in my opinion season 2 is strong in it's own right, as strong as the others. The basis? I love them all!

It was assumed successful as part of the “extreme yes” result. As far as I was concerned, that was a satisfying substitution for a lengthy series of combat rolls.

And, to be realistic, the chance that a skilled assassin such as Veil would miss a shot to the back of a huge and unsuspecting figure like Octavius (at nearly point-blank range) is pretty close to zero, I would assume.

I have one constructive comment to make. I will point a problem and its solution: You're posting on average one episode every two weeks. After two weeks, viewers will probably forget about one character, plot lines, names, and etc, like just happened with me. I forgot who was Octavius. And I just realized who he was when Sherilyn came up saying he was her "disciple", or something. And I'm sure this happened on previous episodes of the show, because I remember felling lost on the story. And here's the solution to this problem. You could do like the novelists do. They always find a way to remind the viewer (I'm talking about TV novelas) about previous events through current dialogues. That's what make novelas so addicting. It's easy to understand what is going on because the dialogue explains the story. I know that there's a lot going on in your head while your're recording the show, and you're doing an amazingly good job. But there's nothing good enough that cannot get better. Anyways, I hope I've helped. That was a great episode! AHH! I can't wait for the next episode! Haha!
