Yeah, I love that Ariel can still give a big platform to OG legends without having to worry about reprisal due to upsetting Dana White. A lot of legendary fighters think Dana and Co. are greedy scumbags for underpaying fighters, abusing power to punish fighters/media members, blatantly lying to hurt the image of fighters they dislike, sabotaging sponsorship opportunities for fighters, lobbying against workers' rights, selectively enforcing company rules, etc...

It’s the little, sometimes more quiet/less obvious, things Ariel does that bug me (and others). Did he have to start with letting everyone know it was Mark who contacted HIM? I also think he’s smart enough to know exactly what he’s doing, so not buying the ‘why am I the bad guy?!’ drivel. Strange…On a brighter note, ONE clean shot by Hunt with bare knuckles, the opponent is done no matter who it is…Assuming the power is still there, which I bet it largely is….Also assuming it’s early, like very early, in the fight:) Good luck mate!

I don’t know how many people reading this comment section know, how many heads should bow in presence of the Super Samoan Mark Hunt. He’s a true pioneer and a complete legend of combat sports, while being of one the scariest one punch knock out artists in history of the game. Hell, he popularized the walk-away KOs and been at the top of kickboxing at K1 days and mixed martial arts in Pride, Dream, Dynamite! and UFC. Seeing him here, on The MMA Hour with Ariel, speaking about his sole motivation to keep fighting being only money, sadens me to core of my heart. Guys like him, at 50 years age, should be spending time with their grandkids, drinking beer or sipping on the Espresso Martinis, while sunbathing on the beach. Fighting should be the last thing on their mind. I get, the weteran fighter’s itch, which many try and then go scratch. But in Mark’s instance, this clearly is not the case. Yeah, I love every time I see him, and he always brings smile to my face with his infectious banter, alas I must say I didn’t walk away from this interview feeling happy seeing him again. I walked away from it feeling sincerely deply glum. Love ya, Mark.

I remember watching Pride back in the day and he showed up with golden hair like a chicken or something. I was dismissive at first, but then he became one my fav fighters ever.

I highly doubt that he got offered 'millions'. Anyone would've thrown a fight for millions in MMA back then if they had no belt. Logic says to me that he's lying, as that would've made him the highest paid UFC fighter during his run, of which, he wasn't...

Honestly, whatever promotion picks up Mark should put him against cans. A highlight of 50 year old mark hunt getting a walk off KO would be great promotion for BKFC

I was saying to a mate of mine the other day. ( ya know who is made for bare knuckle? ). Mark Hunt. My favourite fighter hands down. I breafly met him on 2 occasions was a nice humble bloke but you were aware he could knock over a house. Hope he goes as well as I think he will. The Super Samoan what a champion!!!!!

I'll never forget back in 97 at primary school i had a mate named Elvis Hunt from NZ and he had 2 brothers youngest was named Mark Hunt and the eldest name Louie Hunt really nice traditional people!. I seen Louie absolute destroy the bully/punk of the area. 1st time i seen a Samoan fight & I'll never forget seeing this punk after the fight needing a ambulance it was brutal,he was bearly breathing. He changed our community for the best taking the head off the dragon.

Im 21 min in, and still cant understand what Mark is talking about. He is clearly not well. He needs to just retire and enjoy life. Mark needs a new hobby in life. And get some therapy

So he’s fighting at 50 because he’s broke but wouldnt take 3/4 mil to take a dive when his career is basically over??? Idc where your morals are you’re taking that money maybe he shouldn’t get hit in the head anymore if he wasn’t smart enough to take that deal
