Once again for someone who has 0 MMA knowledge. Octagon control is when you're in the center, when you keep your opponent on his back OR against the cage. Then aggressiveness is when you constantly improve your position OR attack, in this case, Khabib constantly went in for a takedown and tried to go for more punches, even if missed. Here is an example, how can fighters win when they put someone else on their back and do 0 damage, it's called CONTROL. So Once again, learn your MMA rules.

Fight Matrix has Khabib landing more strikes overall and then there's a thing called "Aggressiveness" and "Octagon Control" both for Khabib for 3 rounds. What did Tibau do for 3 rounds? Counterstrike a few times, still less than Khabib? 2 partial takedowns, if you even call them a takedown. Khabib won at least 2 of the 3 rounds, easy. Rewatch the fight.

Is it just me who thinks that control and agression is ranked too highly in a fight? I personally think that if you're outstriking your opponent even if you're the one being pressured then you should be given the win (Carlos Condit vs Nick Diaz, Marlon Moraes vs Jose Aldo, Cruz vs Garbrandt) For the majority of those fights only one person was pressuring but the person on the backfoot managed to either land cleaner shots or more strikes. (This is not including Ground Control, that's completely different)

Good points, but the reason it is scored high is to give incentives to finish fights, not be a counter fighter but to force action so the spectators are entertained. Otherwise it could be a potential chess match on the fence as you seen here, and Mario was not having any part of clinching and cage control over 30 secs

It was clearly even fight and he did control the movement and Tibau was escaping. But yeah Tibau was dangerous in that fight. But he also looked like he's couple weight classes higher (Rogan's qoute: "He need's to write a book on how to loose weight") and despite that that kid controlled the fight. So in my book technically it's draw (I'm not sure if there is something like that in UFC) but in my bookit's a win: that weight class and controlling the cage and becoming dangerous for a more dangerous opponent. Yeah. But that's a different Khabib then current one that's for sure.
