Watch Grasso’s early fights before the ufc. When I discovered her, I knew she would be champion. And when she got a few loses in the ufc, I questioned how in the world she lost. I love Valentina! She's such a beautiful person. While she is always so confident in her abilities, she's also very real and humble at the same time. She gives credit where credit is due. You can tell she works her ass off. As a fellow gun lover, I really like the name "Bullet". I really hope that we get the rematch between her and Nunes. She beat Nunes IMO. I've met Valentina a couple times, trained with her once at a seminar she hosted. Biggest downfall at this point I think is not accepting her losses and seeing what she can do better. In her mind she clearly won and doesn't have to change anything despite the fact she's 0-2 against Alexa. Even the draw they had, its not a loss but also not a win and she's still not the champion. Think her time has passed as great of a champion as she was, nothing lasts forever.

Yeah not in Mexico, but the event was definitely a major issue and they shouldn’t be having a championship fight for a new champion who hasn’t even successfully defended the belt at an ethnically motivated event, Val had defended 7 times yet she never got any special event, the UFC just has the weird Mexican agenda right now ever since Moreno got the belt and the opened the PI in Mexico, they’re pandering to the Mexican crowd right now, and unfortunately Valentina got screwed over because of it.

Grasso is my wife. She's so damn cute but in fight 1, she was losing until Valentina fucked up & Grasso showed how much she has benefited from training with Diego Lopes, I mean she took the back so fucking fast & it was amazing but it was still an unforced error by Valentina that allowed it & if Valentina doesn't telegraph the spin then she was up in the fight and probably wins, no excuses Grasso won fair and square but just have to take into account a correctable mistake from Valentina in trying to pick a winner & in fight 2, Valentina was completely robbed and that's the only reason this fight is happening for a 3rd time. Valentina clearly won the fight. The only reason Grasso got a draw is bc the craziest 10-8 ever given, which even the commission admitted was clearly not a 10-8. But having said all of that, Grasso does give Valentina clear problems with her boxing and speed & if she crowds the kicking game of Valentina, then Grasso has a huge advantage on the feet, boxing. Problem for Grasso, though, is her takedown defense is so bad, and that's what has cost her the 5 out of 8 completed rounds. (Or something like that) But Valentina isn't getting any younger, and Grasso should be the one who is actually improving over time, I may have to actually go w Grasso to win here. It's close, though, bc Valentina is bigger and stronger.

Alex is right. Valentina's style is based on counter striking and as such she tends to back up too much and wait too long. But to be fair... Valentina was a lot more aggressive in the second fight and even took it to Alexa especially in the fourth round (I think) were she was busting Alexa up with that jab.

Valentina seemed like the better fighter against Alexa, but I see the mistakes she made and I see why she lost. I think Alexa very badly wanted the second fight to seem like she was dominant and superior, but in reality she was inferior even though she won fair and square.

Wasn’t 2-2, most people even the commentators had it 3-1 Val, Val outstruck her and had more control time and caused more damage and controlled the strike for the whole first 3 minutes of Round 5, she went for that takedown and Alexa ended the round on her back. Val won that fight plain and simple but the UFC has the weird agenda with Mexican fighters right now, so here we are. It was the same with Moreno 🤷🏾‍♂️

I disagree with Valentina saying she won the second fight. Alexa was more aggressive and dangerous. Alexa actually hurt Valentina and put her in dangerous situations. Valentina did hit Alexa a lot too but those strikes were mostly what I call "point strikes". Strikes that hit but don't really do significant damage. When Alexa hit Valentina you could see the pain and fear on Valentina's face and body language. Alexa also knock Valentina down... picked Valentina up and slammed her down to the mat like a rag doll... had Valentina trapped in a possible fight ending submission with that ankle-foot lock in the 4th round. In the last round Alexa had ground and pound Valentina and almost submitted her again with the submission she got on Valentina in the first fight. The only time Valentina had Alexa in a dangerous situation was when she took Alexa's back and went for an rear-naked choke and arm-bar.

Dana said that he made a meeting between all of them (UFC, valentina, mike bell and grasso) so mike could explain why that 8, and he said he thought the knees of grasso were illegal so he gave that round to valentina and when he had the chance to see the replay he gave the 10-8 to give that extra point to grasso and level things up, Alexa confirmed that in an interview too… you know who haven’t say a word about that? Grasso was never in dangerous fights. And almost finish Valentina. Idl what your talking about. This isn't the old rules of MMA where if you secure one take down and do nothing not even damage you win the round. This isn't GSP days. The rules have evolved.
