I'm pretty sure that Anthony Smith is heavily traumatized from the event and is the main reason he isn't fighting his best anymore. You can see from a few vids that he's easily startled with sudden background sounds. As someone who is traumatized from a violent robbery with a knife I really feel for this guy. You can't overcome psychological damage, no matter how trained you are.

"No normal human is able to fight like that," Smith said. "I'm by no means the baddest dude on the planet. But he's a regular Joe and I had a hard time dealing with him. And he took everything that I gave him -- every punch, every knee, every elbow. He took every single one of them and kept fighting me." "You always just think you're such a badass," Smith said. "I just don't feel like one. I feel ... insufficient a little bit. I didn't know it was possible to be that terrified."
@JsDs1020 Жыл бұрын
I can't think of anything more I dread more than waking up to a home intruder. That is a recipe for PTSD for a normal guy who isn't a pro MMA LHW, he must have had so many decisions he hoped he never had to make running through his head all at once.

The perpetrator of the Chael story IS Doug Crosby and he is so entrenched in the fight world with clout that he escapes comeuppance and so he needs to be called out as often as possible and to effect change of his toxicity and narcissism and choke hold on many other people and their livlihoods. John from the story has made specific and named, exposing posts over time that prove Dougs identity, more than Chaels vids and followups. Crosby is a cancerous human and controls many people. Report it and report it well. Its impt that you name names Tommy. This channel has traction and weight.

I think the funniest has to be about John danaher's first ever black belt, Boris. Basically, the guy comes in as a fresh white belt, and is super competitive, trains really hard, for YEARS- but Boris tells John "I'm gonna retire when I'm 40", so, cut to years later, he's got his black belt, he's 39, and he looks over at John and sayd "I'm turning 40 tomorrow, it's my last day today", but John, being the kind of coach to see the potential in his students, chalks it up as a joke and says he's looking forward to seeing him soon on the mats. Man meant it. He stopped when he was 4p and I guess he never trained since.
