I don't understand how ANYONE with any common sense would say that Belal Muhammad isn't a HUGE needle mover!!! The dude has single handedly revolutionized technological advancements in insomnia cures light years ahead of any known modalities. I have a compilation DVD I have given out to many who suffer from chronic poor sleep and watching him struggle to fight off a 1 armed gimp for 5 rounds, in addition to his other quality efforts against Maia, Wonderboy, Luque, etc. have given hope to thousands who were suffering. Huge props to Remember the Decision!!!!

The “winning by an inch or a mile” saying applies to every sport except combat sports
@survivaltipsandtricks4042
@survivaltipsandtricks4042 Жыл бұрын
Well expect for fights that go 28-30 every round or even getting a KO in a early round, dominating is winning by a mile, a split decision would be wining by an inch
@federicoarmando8359
@federicoarmando8359 Жыл бұрын
@@survivaltipsandtricks4042 Of course you can win by an inch or a mile in combat sports... but the saying is that "it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile". In soccer, if you win the World Cup by penalties in a crappy game, you'll still be remembered and loved as a World Champion. Same with other sports. If you win and defend a world championship in MMA or boxing with a boring style, you'll be constantly belittled because of it, and you'll be put below other champions in the eyes of the fans, even if they are less dominant or have shorter reigns. An even clearer example is to get to a title fight. Sometimes HOW you win a title eliminator fight determines if you get the title fight, not just if you win (i.e: Belal) In other sports, you win the semis and you're in the final.

I've been a Belal hater but he won me over with his domination of Sean Brady. He was aggressive and his striking looked sharp. Then he lost me again with the Gilbert fight. He could've finished Burns and just never really stepped on the gas. Didn't look as hungry as in the Brady fight.
@kman9884
@kman9884 Жыл бұрын
Why does he have to finish him? Burns has rarely (if ever) been KOd or TKOd, so it’s a tall order. Also, his power and rush capability means throwing high volume strikes with the intent to catch him and KO him only compromises his opponent. Belal embarrassed him by 50-45ing him and barely taking any damage in the process. Note: any “he had one arm” complaints are irrelevant, because Belal “only had one leg” yet kicked Burns in the ribs nonstop that fight, with his injured leg.
@jedikye

Lol what? How is sean brady a good win? he's like ranked 15 and it took him like 20 pillowfisted punches to get a pity tko
@utastegood3353
@utastegood3353 Жыл бұрын
@@kman9884 lmao so basically he didn't have an injury they prevented him from using the leg. So that's the same a burns not being able to use his left arm at all. I mean Belal did great in that fight, did what he had to, to win. Why does he need the finish, is an easy question. His fan base didn't grow, and he's still in the same position he's been in. Up next, but easily able to be skipped over by an exciting fight by any of the other top challengers. If he would have finished the 1 armed burns, it would be alot harder to deny him the title shot. It would be more than just Belal calling for his turn at a title shot.
@kman9884
@kman9884 Жыл бұрын
@@utastegood3353 He doesn’t need his fan base to grow, nor is he in the same position. He’s next in line for the title. So again, why does he need a finish when he hasn’t lost in 4 years? Based purely on merit, he is the only person who deserves a title shot in the WW division.
@utastegood3353
@utastegood3353 Жыл бұрын
@@kman9884 he's been "next" in line for a few fights. Bet he still gets skipped after say, usman and khamzat fight. Or literally any other fighter that puts on an impressive fight. Purely merit doesn't get you a title shot. Especially when the majority of the fan base would rather just skip your fights. That's why you need a finish. If he would have had a single exciting finish he would have had a title shot already. It's pretty simple to look at the patterns on who gets title shots and why....

Striking looked good but was hardly used, there’s no reason walker shouldn’t have been able to put smith away, after their fight smith talked constantly about his fucked up legs and even during the fight was delusional. walker played it safe bc he didn’t want to get Kod again which caused him to miss out on a lot of shots he could have taken advantage of, shots that could have put the lights out for smith. Playing safe isn’t always a bad thing but can almost never be an exciting fight the whole fight. A good example of someone how plays it smart but also technical is Volk, he doesn’t tent to get hit much bc he plays it safe but always capitalizes on his shots making his fights exciting.

I don’t think many mma fans care so much about the competition. They care about the fight. A lot of dudes can win a competition and score points but it’s always way more impressive when the guy can fight.
