Man, I love your reviews of MMC figures, I've never bought a single one of their toys (nor do I think I will be able to for some time), but you're really making them grow on me. They really are kind of a cut above the rest from what I've seen browsing 3P offerings in my spare time. Very accurate, but also not just boringly flat sculpts because stuff is based off animation or comics. I love combiners, and my favorite one is the G2 deco of Superion, so if they ever get around to that team someday, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled.

Mirage is an F-1 Ligier JS11, designed by F1 designer Gerard Ducarouge, and driven by Jacques Laffite. It has a wheel base of 2,794 mm, or 110.0 in. The JS11 was the first car to introduce the Clapet system which is notable because that's what you're looking at inside the engine in a car movie where someone hits the turbo speed button. And now the thing I'm sure youre dreading to hear: Vehicle mode accuracy. Aaaaannnndddd The engine is too tall, the spoiler is too long and not wide enough, and the front spoiler is too thick and has a step in it, but otherwise is... about as accurate as movie figures tend to get the alt modes.

It's amazing how well this mold has held up over the years. Considering this was repainted about 4 times. Goes to show MMC's Studio OX representation of Mirage was ahead of its time. Although, MMC as the best third party and not trying anything underhanded is a bit of a stretch. Once you notice their Hasbro-like business practices, it's hard to unsee it. short answer: no, longer answer: the js11 was used for the 1979 season with the updated car (js11/15) used for the 1980 season. In the end the car scored 5 wins total.

Edit: oh yeah, and in order for a vessel to be a ship, it needs to have multiple sails or engines

Here’s another Marcy reviews I got the beasts collide box set and I am surprised at how much the decos RULE in hand. I don’t know if it’s worth the full price, but the box I got was damaged so I got a big discount on it. I think my favorite deco is ransack and skywasp. If you have all these molds I don’t know if it’s worth it, but the decos were just too good for me to ignore. (Also I started using the alternate ransack head in Kickback and DAMN it looks good, I absolutely love it.) This concludes another Marcy review

Considering TE is known for difficult transformations, I'm guessing their Mirage will be difficult to transform and not being as articulated as this. As for my obsession with size comparison, it's due to growing up and not having a good grasp of exactly how big or small things are without seeing it in person. What blew my mind was watching Optimus Legends review the Magic Square Legends scale Constructicons and he did a size comparison with the G1 original toy. I figured Legends scale was one of the smaller sizes, so they can't be that big. I was shocked to see the MS figure being bigger than the original toy. Here's the thing, I'm also not crazy since I still have my G1 Predaking and it's sitting on my shelf directly behind me. The individual bots are pretty decent in size. I know the G1 toys are all over the place in terms of size, so they're not a good comparison. Plus, with Hasbro changing CHUG scale with Seige and me having a pretty messy collection from different lines, it gets confusing. I plan on getting Optus Pexus (the upcoming retooled head version) and I have no clue where to put him since he seems to be in between CHUG leader class and MP. I'm going to assume this is MP Scale cause I looked into their OX Inferno.

TE's Mirage is easy to transform as a whole, except for the shoulder cannon. It's very tricky trying to maneuver it during transformation.

I like ratcheted joints when they're used tastefully. like ratchets on an otherwise top-heavy toy to keep the hips nice and firmly in place. or Ratcheted elbows on a figure that's expected to hold a big weapon, something that a friction joint would have trouble holding. Ratchets for the sake of ratchets only inhibit the figure's posability.

Here's the thing really well tensioned legs can do that too, and I've seen ratcheted hips, with so much play between tight ratchets it was actually less stable. This is why I say they are good, when they are used well. Every figure would be better with well handled ratchets, but every figure would also be better with well handled tension.

At the end of the video u should put in a small section where u rate all 3 sections of the figure transformation, alt mode and robot mode with a /10 scale like for this figure I'd rate it a 9.5/10 in alt mode 4/10 for transformation and 9/10 for robot mode

The upper half of the transformation of Sphinx is a nightmare. The only worse transformations I can recall are RotF Jetfire (it took me two hours.), and the new king (pun intended) Planet X Ares. Ares is so gorgeous it hurts how bad the transformation is.

Really? You qualify this as a nightmare? Man I wouldn't, on camera this took me 4 minutes, and that's only because of the back piece, it was more like 2 minutes and 40 seconds with out that. Admittedly because of the tolerances it's almost NEVER that smooth, that was an anomaly, but I wouldn't call it a nightmare, I've seen so much worse.

It may also be a recency thing, since nothing has pissed me off quite as bad since then, until I just got Ares. Talk about nightmare. I can't in good conscience recommend Ares unless you're willing to finish what Planet X didn't.

I've mentioned them yes, back when they first started releasing I wanted prime fans to know about them so they could have a shot at their toys. I've yet to get a hold of one of theirs my self, so I'll get back to you on that, hopefully soon.

Well studio serries 38 Prime, has the same concept, but they execute it a lot better, making his legs look far less disproportionate. I did a review on the two in like the same week a while back, and part of the point was to compare and contrast the two, so you can check those out to get a better picture.

On a tangent of rachet joints. For the 2 titans I have, they have the two end extremes of when I wouldnt like rachet joints. Scorponok is just too lose, and the ark, I feel like I'm going to break him its so tight. Rachets aren't everything as you said
