Thank-you, you make lovely tutorials. thanks to you I have learned a-lot about Blender. I especially love your visual teaching style, despite our language barriers I can still learn much from you thanks to that same visual teaching style.

Hi! I follow your tutorial, and I can say it is very cool:) Just a quick tip. You can increase your work speed if you use 1 2 3(not numeric) to switch between vertex, edge, and face selection mode. And instead of selecting 4 vertex each time 19:59 hit 2(not numeric) to switch edge selection mode, and select the edge with to neighbor edge and hit f. It will fill the area automatically.

Thank you for your comment! I know the shortcuts of 1, 2 and 3, but I feel that it is easier to operate the viewpoint with the left hand than to operate the viewpoint with the right hand away from the mouse, so I dare to imitate the numeric keypad. Also, I learned the tip of the F key in edge selection mode after posting this video💦 Thank you very much for your tip and advices:)

Love the video, thanks. The thumb looks a really long though. Is that on purpose?
@mmcganimetic3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment! The thumb is a complete mistake! I'm going to upload a new character modeling video for the low poly, and I'm planning to upload a simpler hand modeling there.
this is all great ive been following along with this and understand all the concepts and i almost always know what to do next but is there some sort of handbook for this kind of thing just so i can learn more extensively.
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad to hear that:)

please Help 😥😣 I followed everything but now, my hand has a face with 5 vertex. I tried loop cuts but still not fixed 😫 arigatou you for your videos
@mmcganimetic3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment! If you have a face like a pentagon, select the two vertices on the diagonal and press the J key. Then you can divide the pentagon into triangles and quadrilaterals In the early stages of modeling, a quadrangle is preferable, but a triangle is fine.

@@mmcganimetic thank you... the next video #6 showcased the solution. Arigatou 🙂

12:26 How did he do that? Box selection, reselection, it won't happen for me, from preference option?
22:13 You can deselect by using CTRL+ Mouse LMB Drag

4:58 actually you can inset faces without applying the mirror modifier if you deselect the 'Boundary' option when you are inseting faces.

I believe there might be a small problem with the Thumb Anatomy. The first Knuckle of the Thumb seems to be connected to ball of the hand. Google Translate calls it "Te no tama" in Japanese, I'm not sure. I would like to hear your opinion on this, for all I know, it could be an anatomical difference between European and Japanese hands, too! Awesome Video, as always.

Thank you for your comment! Yes...After posting the video, I noticed something was wrong with the topology. Maybe, I learned that hand topology should be made from Cube . In the next modeling I would like to fix Thank you for your advices!
@hiiambarney44894 жыл бұрын
@@mmcganimetic Oh jeah, I noticed, the very next video you fix the topology up quite a bit! Now I don't know if you have the time to do this but I can wholeheartedly suggest this Video on Hand Topology, It's quite a bit simpler than your hands with the added nails and details, but overall the topology part is very valid. I combined your workflow with this and it looks very nice so far! kzbin.info/www/bejne/boOTlmOnnZqqn7c
