That started out scary with the putty, but you really pulled it all together towards the latter half of the build. The detail looks more like a pro 1/48th scale, so you nailed it in many ways. Things I might have done different would be filing down the edges of the AIM-9X missile fins to get rid of the blocky execution of the molds, but that’s hard to do on 1/72. I just got 2 Revell 1/72 F-22s, and I want to focus on the weapons bays more than anything as part of a bigger project. I like your weapons bay detailing on this. I’m looking at close-up photos of real F-22A weapons bays to try to nail the details. Overall great job man.

I think a little interesting thing you could possibly add to the gear is sanding down underneath the tires just a little bit to add the weight effect on account of the aim 9s, AMRAMs, and the two external fuel tanks.

Concerning my airbrush, do I have to put thinner in all my colors. It seems that when I do put thinners in my paint all it does is make it watery and not stick well.
@MMScaleModels
@MMScaleModels 3 жыл бұрын
That depends on: the nozzle size, the paint, the pressure and how much you pull the trigger. With all possible combinations you'll have to find the sweet spot for your setup. I personally shoot trough 0.2 and 0.3 nozzles and I thin my paints quite a lot. But some paints are thinner than others to begin with.
