Well. I may lose a few man points for this. But I admit that "Hope Floats" is my favorite movie ever. Sandra Bullock was outstanding. And the little girl who played Bernice was adorable. That opening scene where Sandra was on the talk show tears my heart out. And the scene where daddy drives away while Bernice is saying "Daddy, I'm going with you!" jolts me, too. What an awesome movie.

My boyfriend died very unexpectedly a little over a year ago. I watched this movie and what stayed with me was the soundtrack. One day, I came home from work to find it lying on my bed - a quiet gift from someone who knew how much the music means to me. How much it speaks for me, when I can't speak the words myself. That was a very touching day - and this is still one of my favorite songs, from this soundtrack. Absolutely beautiful. Face the promise was the one and only time I saw Bob Seger in concert. It was awesome! I'm 62 and disabled, and will probably never go to another concert, but I have many wonderful memories of all the concerts I have been to. Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Crosby, stills and nash, the who, the dead, john mellencamp, frank zappa, so many wonderful events. My only regret was to not have seen pink floyd or the eagles.

I love this one. Makes me remember the time I first met him in 67 at his Mother's home on Pauline Blvd. in Ann Arbor. Cyndee James introduced me to Bob. He was in the basement writing songs for his first record album. Cyndee introduced me time. When Bob heard my last name he chuckled.
