There was this old hole in the wall pizza joint me and my parents would go to when I was growing up. My mom would have a couple beers, my dad went for the food, me well now that I think about it I went for the memories. It had a couple pool tables and an old dusty jukebox. My mom always gave me some quarters and I would play this song for her. Then me and dad would hop on a pool table and play a couple games. I lost my dad in 06 and just lost my mom last year. Every time I hear this song it takes me right back there, enjoying the memory, enjoying the good times we had together.

Several years ago my brother lost a leg due to diabetes but managed to still live on his own. A year ago he suffered multiple strokes that took his vision and crippled his left side and he can no longer care for himself in any way. He has lost his will to live until you play Bob Seger for him. My brother taught himself how to play the guitar and he could sing and play any Bob Seger song by heart. This music is the only thing that brings him happiness. Thank you Bob for keeping my big brother alive. Update on my big brother, his daughter bought him an Alexa and he can listen to his beloved music whenever he wants. Trying to figure out a way for him to be able to call us through Alexa. Anyone with ideas please let me know. Thank you all for your kind words, I make sure to share all of your comments with him, to him its like your writing him letters. Thank you all so much. My brother got a new roommate that plays guitar and the harmonica. My brother requests Turn the page often and his roommate graciously strums as my brother desperately tries to remember the words to sing along. God works in mysterious ways. I have not seen my brother so happy in a very long time. Thank you all for the love and support you are showing us during this trying time. I wish you could have met him before his strokes, he was so funny and made up songs that cracked us all up.

My dad was a trucker too. After my parents were married, he took a job at Kennedy Space Center. My parents always met in the middle, after that mom left it up to my father. They never made a decision on their own. If an event came up they trusted the other one fully to make the right choice. Dad truly loved being on the road. In our travels over the years, dad l know when he got behind the wheel with the road ahead was able to remember driving his Mack. He got the best of two being a trucker and loving mom. And later on his love was given so freely to the children he and mom created. They are both in Heaven, and I know God would not have any other place for the two of them to find.

His son made a DVD and this was on it and it showed a bunch of pics of him growing up and goofing off with family and friends. Everyone loved my brother. He lived in a small town in Washington state called Davenport. The day of his funeral the local banks, stores shut down for his services. There standing room only. This song came on and i remember sitting back there watching dad relive so much listening to this song. This is an ageless song that will never loose its validity. I love this song. I'm 64 and it brings back so many memories. I cannot comprehend how anyone would put a thumbs down but I would hazard a ques that this song will still be around long after their dead.
