So, This 722.3 was fully rebuilt after all!

Over the next 2 days im going to finish off this transmission reseal, as there wasn't much interest in the previous 2 videos i wont be going to the trouble of recording every step along the way.

That's a shame, I'm sure I'm going to have to work on mine at some point, and these were very instructive videos. I'm really glad for the videos you do put out though, very helpful.

I did that whole drilling out of the rivets on the K drums, and tapping of the screws that come with the seal kit. The kit also comes with instructions for that, but I primarily used Gary Ferarro's video for reference.

I have a 722.3 that needs a rebuild due to water ingress. Never done a automatic before. I’m wondering if it’s something I can diy. Special tools???

google search the 722.3 ATSG manual and save it. Its out there, and no need to pay for it. Read it from start to finish and decide if the job is for you, This is the manual i used. With water ingress you are going to need to change all friction materials and bands and check and clean every single component- valve body too, It may be cheaper to get another transmission. The Bands are expensive and not included in any master rebuild kit.
