I seriously did not think I could love Hayden more, thank you for posting this. A reminder to everyone, please donate if possible to the various charities and organisations assisting in providing life saving assistance to the Palestinian people during this horrible time, even if it's a dollar it helps. Falsely? What does that even mean? It's not like the Holocaust didn't happen. Or that antisemitism isn't a real problem that has been going on for CENTURIES at this point. The reason Israel even exists has to do directly with the events of WWII. That mass slaughter diaspora was the catalyst where the British handed them the land because they were pushed out of Europe by genocide. Imagine that that most Jewish people don't actually have much control over the rogue entities that govern Israel. Especially since many don't even live with the country or even sanction these horrendous actions. Living in such black and white extremes of understanding is unreasonable. That's not how any of these things operate historically. This shit doesn't happen in a vacuum. There is complexity and nuances to take into consideration. It's not hard to separate a people from their government- or somewho not include an entire worldwide population into the crimes of a singular faction. Why it is for y'all I have no idea. Beacuse the slaughter and suffering of innocent people on anyside is unacceptable. Period. Don't have to backslide into being antisemitic or anti-Muslim or whatever it always turns into.

It’s odd that you lose respect for an artist for doing something courageous, risking her career in an industry that is hive-minded in its reverence for money and “good PR” than social good/discourse. Why do you prefer that artists create mindless art, in a vacuum detached from everything that surrounds them? Perhaps you enjoy robotic music, but even that cannot be divorced from the circumstances of its creation. I suggest you think more deeply and critically about the position you take, as you will soon realize how oxymoronic it is. The greatest artists-in literature, cinema, and music-all infuse social commentary into their work, more or less. Star Wars, Avatar, Prince, Queen, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Albert Camus, John Steinbeck, etc etc…
