why didn't you buy metal axles with adjustment nuts? This would allow you to increase the lenght without any mod since the driveshaft has plenty of adjustment

@@BillsWorkbench I just built a WPL C44KM that was more work than it needed to be there was no way I was filming it for the channel to 😆 I know how awkward it is to film and wort on the bench so really good work to do both well 🙂

@@suvsteve That is why I have the camera ready to go at any moment and a second camera to my right while filming. Oh the large monitor in front of me helps keep me in frame, which seems to be the most difficult part. I can't wait to see your WPL C44KM in action!

Hi, This is a great video on how to make axle little bit longer to fit bigger tires. I have some questions though, in the video you mention that you use different servo (a bit smaller) What servo did you use? And if I want to use a stock servo or metal servo with same size as stock 25g, how to adjust the servo mount? Sorry I still new in this, since I don't have any experience in 3d printing and Need to order to guy who has the 3d printer Thank you for your response Edit: Turn out the servo mount design was modular, so it can fit stock servo size (sorry for not read the description) Anyway thank you so much for your effort, really appreciate it

It looks like I have the stock servo still in the MN128. The servo I was thinking of using was a MG90S which is a bit smaller. Looking at the 3D file posted on printable (www.printables.com/model/737691-mn-128-trailing-arm-extensions-and-universal-servo/files) they are for the stock servo. If you are still using the stock steering linkage then the stock servo will be fine. The plastic linkage will act as your servo saver. If you upgrade your linkage to the metal linkage you will also need to upgrade your servo. With all that typed, you should be good to go printing what I have in printable, use the stock servo and servo linkage and get a M2.5 screw kit. amzn.to/3wlhLms

When I swapped the stock shocks for 70mm oil filled shocks on my MN128, I gained a little ride height but lost a lot of flex and travel, What shock absorbers are you using? Your video helped me a lot when choosing the tires I'm going to buy, I was interested in 85mm tires but I've seen that it's better to stick with tires below 80mm.

The shock that I ordered it from Amazon: amzn.to/48R9VOL. They are okay, but they leak. I just ordered some Injora 70mm shocks to try: amzn.to/4ab9yQ8. The factory shocks are 65mm center to center, so I am hoping the 70mm will give me a bit more travel and will not bind. I did find that for the silver shocks (first ones), I needed to use the red springs that came with the MN-128 for the rear. The tires helped a lot, but installing them required much work. Once I designed and 3D-printed the axle extensions, everything worked well. If you have a 3d printer, here is a link to the STL files, www.printables.com/model/737691-mn-128-trailing-arm-extensions-and-universal-servo

How does your shock absorbers perform?
@BillsWorkbench11 ай бұрын
They are working great. The shocks and tires are the top two upgrades so far. The tires gave me the traction and grip. Where the shocks gave me the control I was looking for.
