What is your favorite stack and what is your favorite method of memorising it?

Mnemonica has always been my favorite but I've just been too lazy to learn how to memorize it ... until now. 😀

Thanks so much for the shoutout Michael. So happy that the deck is helping magicians learn these decks. They were so fun to create. ~ Hiba @ CoffeeandPenArt.com

Great review. This looks like a great product. Once a person has a stack memorized (or so they think they have) the next step is to be able to perform a series of effects that will take a completely shuffled deck and end in your full deck stack. Having to reorganize the deck while performing (example - sort between the first 26 and second 26 on the fly) is a good test to see if you have your stack mastered.

You make a GREAT point! Having mastered the Aronson Stack - recently, using this deck - I have been practicing Tamariz's "Neither Blind nor Stupid". Straight from stack order (regardless of how many cuts the spectator has made) I need to quickly determine the "ODD" card among the "EVEN" cards and vice versa.

Really helpful Michael. Thank you. Can I point out respectfully that Mnemonica is not pronounced 'New- monica'? It's actually pronounced: Nə-monica . Quite a few established channels mispronounce it, especially Rick Lax! You can hear it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYbEdpdnbciVlcU A mnemonic (/nəˈmɒnɪk/,) device, or memory device, is any learning technique that aids information retention or retrieval (remembering) in the human memory.

Haha thanks so much for the correct pronunciation! I appreciate it!

I am not that bright and to be honest.. I have smoked so much weed that I shouldn't even be able to remember my birthday.. But I've learned the mnemonica stack both ways in 2, maybe 3 days. Just write the numbers on the back of the cards, shuffle them and slow but steady add more cards. If I can do it, anyone can do it

Great review, and I can only echo the positive comments. Having previously tried several different approaches with limited success, Thom’s deck was exactly what I needed to commit Mnemonica to memory once and for all. I was amazed at how quickly it stuck - literally a few hours over the course of a weekend was all I needed. I can now quickly convert stack position to card (and vice versa), as well as rattle through the deck in order. It’s a beautiful deck too!

Great Video! I really need to get this deck. Like you, I was able to very easily remembers that the King of Diamonds, who is 26 and the Queen of Diamonds, who is 46 went to the 2 (of) Clubs on the corner of 27th St. Wow! That's amazing! It like I'm reciting the events in a movie - lol I am curious to know if anyone has ever tried using this deck to perform effects for Laypeople? The pictures wouldn't mean anything to them and one may come up with a rather "interesting" effect. Just Brain Storming

Hi Michael! Did you have any experience with mnemonica before getting this deck?
@OBrienMagic3 жыл бұрын
I know what mnemonica is and how stacked decks work but I do not know the stack nor have i learned any routines using it so i am definitely a newbie!

@@OBrienMagic Gotcha! I might have to pick this up then! It seems like this might be a good method for learning it. Like a year ago I brute force learned the first 16 cards and have those down but I just wasn't able to do that for the rest of the deck. Even from the couple cards you showed here, I can still remmeber their positions

After watching your video I just ordered a Mnemonica deck. This past year I have remembered the full stack in order. I have been having trouble remembering a card at any number. I hope this helps. Thank you for the great review.

Glad to hear it! Literally only glanced at the cards for the review and read the manuscript and just in that process memorized like 6 cards. Lol. It makes it really simple for sure!

That is a very good idea that he has come out with. I am going to check it out. I mostly use the Si Stebbins stack and sometimes the Bart Harding stack.

You may even be able to apply these ideas to your own stacks to help memorise them!
