How to Automatically Translate Vocabulary Lists with Google Translate

This is a tutorial on how to translate a list of foreign vocabulary words into another language and then export the list into Anki flashcards.

It always amazes me that someone would take the time to so comprehensively demonstrate and explain such a critical tool/procedure that we all are trying to figure out. Useful/practical/fast way to do it, from frequency & translation to Anki cards. Then also, what was not mentioned is to use what I use is AwesomeTTS addon for Anki which adds sound files to all of those cards as to how those words sound when spoken.

I loved that the video was short and useful, I have just two questions if you can answer at least one of them you would save my life , according to this procedure , you know google translate maybe sometimes doesnt work so well,well could it be another translater and do the same formula?, the other thing is ,do you have any easy way to also add Audios to the list?,

I'm not sure how to use a different translator without doing some coding. Google has services for that, but I think they require money and writing some code. cloud.google.com/translate

@@ELSEGUIDORQUESIGUE1997 You can add as many columns as you want. It might not be possible to embed audio files directly (support.google.com/docs/thread/15314837?hl=en) but you might be able to do that with something like airtable.com.

Not sure if I'll get a reply at this point, but I was following along well until 2:27 when you just said "Drop this here." What was the action to make it so the entire row would be translated like A1 was? I couldn't figure it out and it would be great to have it explained verbally. Thank you!

You should see a small blue box on the bottom right corner of the cell. You hold this and, having scrolled to the bottom (i.e. where your list ends), release it. It should then do as it did in the video.

Sorry, I didn't see your comment. If you click on the bottom right corner of a cell in a spreadsheet, you can drag it down to apply the same formula to all the cells below it.
