Great see 610 in action. I have filmed every all major brands of 4wds and I have to say the Delta Track has an extra smooth cab and the cab is just huge. Hey Mike, you'll think I'm a weirdo after reading this (I don't care... as I'm a FarmHand myself) If only 2018 weather would have been decent in NJ, and for Wes Pandy, Onelonleyfarmer, I would've love seeing you make a video with him, and bring along any 290 or 310 Versatile, old or new, for him to try. I have plenty enough field-work to do here as farmhand before snow-down here in quebec. But if I had machines of my own, and no paper-work to cross the borders, I would go down-there and give him a hand till snow starts, as long as I have a place to sleep for me and my dog, and food, and fuel/oil, I'd be fine. .....yeah there's this, he'd have to cross the border if I'd ever need help farming as pay-back (NOT because he would owe me anything, but because this is how we were raised) (one of my most memorable time as a 11y-o "hay-raker" was when a friend of ours, who saw us racing against bad weather coming in, while he and his team had just finished his hay-season, decided to come across and start baling along with us. Back in 79, around here, 6000 small dry-bales on the ground was no small task. It was ginormous compared with today's 350HP on a big-square, while we had 5-6 35HP --some boosted to 42hp LOL-- to do that task) Anyhow, everything was baled when rain showed up and the some 2500 bales that could not be unloaded stayed on wheels and rested in the hanger shed, while then we were all having a beer listening to the rain slap on the roof ;) The year after, when my Dad did upgrade with a bale-kicker on our NH273, we went to help that friend as storm was coming and ours was done. That's how we used to do anything back then. I miss those days :-( ....but I'm happy I've witness those ;) Yeah, I'm a weirdo.... because I want/wish to see that way of work/help today :-(

I spent many hours this spring bouncing around in our Versatile 875 (circa 1980 I believe) man the difference 40 years makes lol... still an unstoppable tractor... runs our 15 foot chisel at 1500 rpm... our 36 finisher at 1800, and pulls around our 30' turbo tiller like a toy, lots of room in the cab, but you need it because its a rough ride, on 8 tires with no suspension its a bit rough lol, but its funny how much simulates that tractor has to that 610, it looks like (besides the fenders and tracks) you could switch the back halfs of those tractors... pretty much the same hydro and hitch setup etc... and man I wish I had me some auto steer... anyhow, that tractor is still our biggest spring work horse (thats the only time we use it... it only does 14 mph in road gear so its just to much work to get around for harvest... we use our old 4240 (big turbo circa 200 horse, also our planter tractor...) and our 4850 (circa 300 horse, although that seems to be a bit more than that engine likes as its in our shop getting new pistons and sleves lol) for grain cart duty...) anyhow I love watching your videos and getting to see how a bigger much more modern operation does things...

Never would have guessed the Versatile. My guess was high speed disc. Anyways cool to see the other brands, and just happens to be the stuff we're looking at.We're all Green other than one really old red Steiger, but just not very happy with the newer green. EPA gets most of the blame, but JD tractors have went from the problems starting at 8 to 10k hours, to starting at 3 to 5k. Versatile and Agco both are doing enough right to take a look at them.
@henningquast84565 жыл бұрын
max power I‘m from Germany and Almost every apple farmer in our region runs Fendt 200 V Vario (vineyard sized tractor) because they just build the best small tractors. Fendt had the “new“ technologies like cruise control and continuously variable transmission 10 years before other brands, which are only catching up recently. The Fendt 200 V Vario series just is the best fruit farming tractor, hands down. (Btw. JD‘s small tractors are a joke compared to that. You can‘t even move in the cabine if your above 5‘10. They clearly don‘t focus on developing them.

@@henningquast8456 I would take Steyer Cvt over Fendt Vario anytime. Everyone knows that German farmers are nationaly biased. Prove me wrong?
@henningquast84564 жыл бұрын
Plamen Nedkov I suppose you‘re talking about Steyr? They basically have the same CVT trans as the CNH brand, which is perfectly fine, just not as good as the true stepless Vario transmission, especially if used in orchard tractors (as mentioned above). And yes, of course one has some kind of brand related bias but since Fendt is up there to support it‘s claims, I don’t see a thing wrong with that. (Please don‘t bring the argument of Vario trans not being reliable, if one doesn‘t know how to drive them correctly, you can’t blame it on the manufacturer. You wouldn’t complain to a manufacturer if your manual transmission broke down because you tried shifting without using the clutch either would you?)

Watching that combine start is really a treat! I guess I'm one of those who really enjoys watching machinery start that billows out black smoke. Two other machines that come to mind are How Farms Work's John Deere 4640 that 'might' have been turned up a smidgen. Also That Chipper Guy's V12 on his Morbark Chipper. Of course I also really like very cold starts. :)

2:23 we did the same thing a couple years ago. Not that we didn't have a header cart, the field was close enough or we didn't think we'd have room to unload the header. And I'm gonna tell you, there was traffic, so part of the header had to stay in the breakdown lane.... Quite a difficult challenge.

just note that i live in minnesota too, but the AGCO Challengers, are truley fendts! if you buy a fendt and an agco tractor of the same model then look at the tail lights, make sure the agco has the challenger kit on it

also, the tractor to me, its very ugly appearance wise, but handling wise, OMGOSH! (remember kids, don't judge a book by its cover, and also don't forget to stay up till 1 in the morning watching youtube)

I drove a 700 hp tractor , air seeder an plough , with just a mark on widow , for 12 hours a day , unless night driver showed up late , then I kept going , I furled and filled seed and fertiliser by myself , I only had a cassette player , and one tape Kenny Gee , a suitcase satellite phone that should never be used as it was $20 to connect and $20 min. no wifi , no internet radio , no movies , no games . I did have a cb but only worked at night . Had the same unlimited bathroom facilities

great advantage surely is that this machine won't compress the soil so much because there is a broader weight distribution
