I got the John Deere S780 Stuck on the side of a hill. I've never experienced experienced anything like it. The combine slid 20ft down the hill and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Regardless the S780 is far superior to the 9870 in the mud.

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

God Bless you Zach for helping the neighbor! My hat (that I ordered from you) is off to you! I remember as a kid, my dad and others did the same thing for a family who had similar troubles. Makes a man proud of knowing that MN Millennial farmers are doing the same thing! This was near Rothsay, MN. Proud to be a former farmer! Now a OTR truck driver. Just hit a milestone of 2 million miles of accident and ticket free miles last May. My father taught us boys well as your father has taught you. Proud to be a subscriber and love your sense of humor and seeing the BIG GREEN! Hope I can meet you and family someday! God Bless!

BigMac39 it allows for the machinery to turn around after a long pass, you can also park your trucks in them if it is dry enough. They are planted diagonally to the main rows. However due to the increased traffic they typically don’t yield as much as the main field.

Grew up in S Kandiyohi Co and N Renville Co area and we called them end rows. Head lands was the term for the first 'round made in the center of the field with the moldboard plow. We'd go out and "start a headland" by eyeballing something as best as possible on the other end of the field and trying to keep the tractor straight on that heading. Nobody even thought of GPS or guidance systems then.

In Germany we call Headleands or End Rows "Vorgewende". "Wende" is loosely a translation for turning. So "Vorgewende" means "pre turning" directly translated. An describes the area of the field used for turning.
