I come from a long line of farmers on both sides of my family. I’ve always enjoyed being around agriculture, have a deep respect for agriculture, and love to see the advancements in modern technology in action on your farm. While I don’t actively work on a farm anymore these days and miss it dearly, your videos make me feel like I’m right there. You have no idea how happy that makes me. I really hope you don’t ever stop making these videos as they keep the public informed about the reality of how hard and stressful farming can be, but also the amazing sense of accomplishment that comes with it. I’ve always had the utmost respect and admiration for farmers and what they do for this great nation and the world, and you and your wonderful family are no exception. Best wishes on a safe and successful harvest from Maryland!

Yuppers, it's the time of year farmers are busy beyond belief for non farmers. I remember hearing the corn being processed at my small farm home town Into meal at oir local mill for feed and corn meal to be bajed into corn bread and such. Farm equipment had the right of way outside city limits. The mill is now a second hand store the silo still there now pretty much a pigeon nest. It's interesting how much farming has changed with the new tractors and equipment. Much more work involved setting up and transfering between crops.

Electric motor bearings are pretty easy to change they are heat/press fit. I use to remove them with a 3 jaw puller and an impact. To put it on you can drive it with a sleeve or heat it to about 170-200 degrees Fahrenheit. Then it will slide on. This is assuming the shaft is ok and the housing is ok.

@@larsharris one neighbor would cut down trees, let them fall on the fence. Then cut the tree off the fence and push the tree trunk on my side. That was some pretty impressive redirecting there Zack. Admittedly, the only thing you could do, but you did it dang good. I think one of the problems with farming is the size of the farm. The larger the farm, the more things that can break or go bad. I like seeing how you all deal with it and make it all work. Thanks again for letting me tag along and learn.
@michaelrussell66612 жыл бұрын
These days the larger size of the farm[compared to years past] is required so a reasonable income/lifestyle can be made/had from it. Also the number of families still farming is getting less and less every year. And it is very expensive for someone to start farming from scratch.
