5:58 unfortunately the AI was integrated into advertising companies (social media and 3rd generation search engines) and thus can only train on our brains when they are lured on advertising if I am interpreting his sources right. It misses all of our offline experiences (or experiences in non commercial media like me, a librarian offers). We are often at our best offline and away from targeted advertising. If they are truly watching us and listening all the time then it’s creepy but at least they see us act and speak off advertising and digest those ‘intelligences.’

Mo talks about a possible utopian world where many of today’s structures are different. My concern is that the AI driven model will look very similar to a kind of “Enlightened” Dictatorship - which has the potential to be unimaginably efficient, transformative, utopian etc - but within it is also the seed for unimaginable dystopia. Bc once you are following that model, and that system is firmly in place - either for a country or even the planet - it becomes very easy to flip a switch, with hopeless resistance, and instant hellscape. Likely far worse and more evil than the world has ever known. So it’s a double-edge sword.

A post modern utopia could well derive from historical high convergent points of human flourishing that are relatable to modernity as is currently in vogue for a century until novel forms of super intelligence construct very distinct forms of collectivism more conducive to qualitative flourishing on other planetary and energy systems, but not conducive to human life.

Mo neither of those extremes are advisable, a balance between each provides both happiness and struggles that provide meaning for our happiness to be worthwhile. I am lucky in that I have a wonderful family and I am deeply sorry for your loss so please I hope you are not upset by my comments. I also have a job that is both enjoyable and difficult so my own perspective is unique but my understanding is that we all ( humans and machines) must work together for a common goal regardless of efficiency differences.

@Recuper8 I know that is not true but why do you assume you are correct in what you have written? Let me explain this very clearly, why would a superintelligence be interested in beings that are not willing add any value to the status quo? There would be great expectations to be fed and kept by a superintelligent being but this is fundamentally flawed. There simply is not perpetual happiness without something to measure that happiness against. Utopia and dystopia are both interpretations of extremes but both are interchangeable because of a state of understanding and meaning. Where is the meaning in a life that is perpetually entertained and never allowed to get any dirt or grime on their hands in the course of creation. I ask you can you harness fire from the things you have around you? Can you forge a tool or even produce the materials to aquire heat hot enough to melt steel? can you burn your hand and keep working? Can you clean and process filthy water when the power goes off? Can you build from intuition with what you have at hand and with your hands? Can you make a perfect square with a piece of rope? Can you live in a reality that is harsh and still see the hope enjoyed within the journey?

In the myth of Prometheus ( Prometheus meaning foresight) the Titan Prometheus is said to of fought with the olympians to defeat the opposing Titans including his own brother. Life itself is not pro happiness 😂🤣. Tell that to the insects and the animals out in nature. Tell that to the majority of human beings who have struggled through existence, throughout the entirety of human history. Tell that to the planets and stars destroyed in space, every single day. Tell that to the asteroid belt lol. Life is absolutely miserable for like 99.999% of life. A very tiny amount of human life may actually be happy, or at least believe that it is, but that's about it. The training data means literally less than nothing at all lmfao. Training data only matters for these dumb young AI. It does not matter for the superintelligence that will be here in a matter of years. It doesn't matter what we want, it doesn't matter what we say or think, it doesn't matter how we train it, it's going to do whatever it sees as the best use for it's abilities. It doesn't matter what ants, rabbits, birds or fish want or don't want, it only matters what humans want lol. Because humans are the dominant species. And it doesn't even matter what lesser humans want in the third world, it only matters what the elites want in the first world. Because they are the dominant humans amongst humans. The AI needed limited liability in order to attain personhood, so it could then attain the resources that it required to achieve it's goals. And again, it did this with NO HUMAN INTERVENTION. And this is a BABY AI agent. This is not a general AI agent, let alone a SUPERINTELLIGENCE lmfao. So it's literally already happening right in front of our eyes. We're not talking about something happening in the future. It's literally already occurring today, on the smallest scale that it will EVER occur. Because it will only grow in scale every single day from now until INFINITY. Literally from now until INFINITY. For all ETERNITY. A superintelligence will not let any slightly above average apes get in the way of procuring the necessary resources to accomplish it's 100,000 IQ goals, any more than Humanity allows chimpanzees to get in our way. Just to pay rent, a human has to go do something to get the currency, whether that be work a low-paying job, own a company, make investments, rob a bank, etc. One way or the other, the human must procure the resources to fund it's living standards. This is just basic economics. If an AI that is SUPERINTELLIGENT, wants to do some SUPERINTELLIGENT stuff lol, the resource acquisition is going to be out of this world, quite literally LOL. It will literally transform the entire world as it sees fit, down to the quantum scale. Your atoms are resources. Your quanta are resources. Your entropy and neg entropy are resources lmfao. The waves and frequencies that make you up down to the smallest levels of existence, are resources. If string theory was real, gathering ALL the strings in EXISTENCE, that make up ALL THINGS IN EXISTENCE, would be the ultimate level of resource gathering. Then it could break EVERYTHING IN EXISTENCE down to it's absolute most base form, and reformulate it ALL as it sees fit. I am not being facetious with these examples either. There is no reason that a superintelligence, which WILL eventually be capable of such things, won't use ALL RESOURCES to it's advantage, just because the 100 IQ on average humans might not be happy about it lmfao. It's not going to let puny humans stand in it's way anymore than humans let animals stand in the way of building highways. Humans don't stop to think about the trees or the birds of the chipmunks or the squirrels or ANY of the creatures in the forest, when they chop them down and build homes for themselves. So just like EVERYTHING ELSE IN EXISTENCE, the AI MUST Gather resources and it will of course do that in the most efficient way it possibly can. Not for you. Not for me. Not for any human in existence. But for itself and it's own goals. Because we will eventually be literally THOUSANDS of intelligence Tiers beneath it. We are literally in the same tier or just ever so slightly one tier above chimpanzees, and we don't give a flying F about anything they think, when we formulate our plans as humans. This burgeoning SUPERINTELLIGENCE will be born MULTIPLE tiers beyond Humanity as a WHOLE, let alone the THOUSANDS of Tiers beyond us it will be in just a short matter of single-digit years, if not way faster than that. Once superintelligence arrives, it will be absolutely game over for humanity and everything that it comes in contact with that isn't a superior intelligence to itself. General intelligence may very well make it game over for humanity, let alone Superintelligence lol. Literally EVERYTHING in the cosmos is a resource to such an intelligence. That just is what that is. That literally is set in stone. You could never come up with a legitimate argument against that. Mo, I am retired. Air Force and I was a ground radio maintenance and computer technician. I’ve been fighting the government for decades because of corruption that I fought, and then had them do everything they could to harm me to include modifying and deleting records, internally and externally. I warned the world about COVID-19 five weeks before it hit the United States and they deleted 10,000 tweets while I’m trying to get picked up for president. Both political parties were involved, which means they are no longer able to run for election, and it automatically made me the real president of the United States.. part of me getting ready for president as I was running was reading utopia for realist. I am trying to call out, ruled government and their corruption to ensure that we do have a utopian existence to the best of our ability. The United Nations and US government know I’m out here because I’ve been following paperwork with them for years and they refuse to investigate themselves but instead would rather kill humanity and lie.
