Sonya Young No, she’s unemployed! She ain’t got shit to do, so now she’s ready to be a mother and a wife? No TV or movie projects, no stand-up comedy dates. Here she is on an off-beat podcast with her unemployed husband ‘dropping knowledge’... That’s NOT strength, it’s DESPERATION to stay relevant, hoping somebody/anybody will notice and offer her a job or a way out of the deep hole she’s dug for herself! And Sidney, with NO job, NO income, state n federal back taxes due, young children at home, reassures her “it’s going to be ok”??

Stephanie Parrott I’m curious too...how long can MoNique go on crying the same sad song before she decides to get on with her life? Every now and again when I come across an interview, I tune in for a few minutes to see if any lessons have been learned. The answer in 10yrs since ‘Precious’, an emphatic NO! She’s standing alone because others in entertainment know she’s full of shit...her cause was never about civil justice, it’s ALWAYS been about more money for Monique, at Sidney’s direction. And he screwed up her career, completely!

We are out here. We are. It takes a secure man and a secure woman to accept that type of light, fire and power. When she found a real king, she not only let her guard down to accept him - he allowed her strength to deepen and heighten at the same time; he wasn't intimidated. That builds love, trust and respect on a solid rock of friendship. They are down for each other no matter what! JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I appreciate this so much and am looking forward to having a conversation with you all in the near future. These topics are so important. As a 23 year old Black woman, it is very disappointing that peers and elders obtain awards, knowledge and wisdom that they don't share. Meeting elders who I go to for guidance or have exceptions for to only find out they are mean people is tragic. Mean spirited, dismissive and I think have an agenda against younger people sometimes. It's refreshing that you provide a platform that is supportive and uplifting to ALL Black people. You don't undermine the intellect of the youth and you provide SOLUTIONS to systematic issues that plague our community. I love this podcast so much. You are appreciated.

Black people needs to stop being said too. It's a misnomer and makes you outside of the law. You are Moors/Muurs. Know thyself

To be totally honest brother I can’t recall a song I have heard from you though I know I’ve heard plenty. What I can say you are one of the most articulate and unapologetic brothers I ever heard and for that you will be remembered. I’m a fan and look forward to watching more of your podcast episodes. Monique and Sydney is the definition of black love.

She’s powerful and been a queen. I’m glad she was allowed to speak her voice without being ambushed or a narrative being out out first and calling it an interview. I stand with integrity, and the ones who actually dare to stand up for what’s right.
