Thank you for managing to put this together as I imagine that even now the emotions are still quite raw. I want to also thank Lori Morris for the tireless work she's put in to organise the tournament. It was wonderful to be a part of this and I'm glad I participated. It was also lovely to meet you briefly yesterday. I didn't really want to take up much of your time as I imagined you had a lot of people hoping to get a few words with you. I know we talked about how you only have internal pressure with the channel and not external, and I only wish to reiterate that I would much rather prefer to see you take your time and make the content that you want to create and feel inspired too rather than to feel like you have to put something out on a regular basis just because some algorithm tells you to. I'm not going anywhere and will be happy to see what you feel inspired to upload in future when you feel the time is right for you to do so. What I never got to talk to you about and what didn't feel right for me to say at the time yesterday is that I do know at least in part what you must be going through. I lost my father a little over two years ago, and then my mother passed only a few months later in the middle of the pandemic. I never got a chance to go home for her funeral and I've not been to where both my parents ashes have been placed back home in the UK. The thing I've realised is grief isn't just some thing you get over with in a few days or weeks. It's a long process. And it's okay to feel sad and to have those emotions because it means that they were someone very important to you. Don't feel guilty for having those feelings, just realise that you know where they're coming from. I was lucky enough to meet your Dad a few times, thanks to Lori again for that. I know the first time I met him at a point when I felt like I was really struggling with my game. That I felt like I wasn't good enough or doing something wrong. After throwing my first few shots, to turn around and hear him say "Oh well there's not anything to do here." was such an unbelievable confidence boost. That someone like him with all this knowledge in our sport, who has seen countless bowlers over his lifetime, I think that alone gave me so much confidence in myself that I will always be thankful to him for giving me that. I also appreciated even more the time he took to make sure he got my fit right and I can say that in 20+ years of bowling I've never had a more comfortable fit with a bowling ball in my life. And I recognise that only that was just a small part of what made him amazing. The fact he was able to come up with all these concepts and designs for bowling balls just shows what an incredible man he was. So to finish all the long diatribe, I just want to say thank you. To you, to him, and to all those around him. You're in my thoughts and I hope you can come through this incredibly difficult time stronger.
