Was looking at punching my new Obsession Tour with a stronger 5" pin layout but honestly I love the short pin motions so much more on my solids now with #2hands

The obsession tour has the same undrilled numbers as a higher diff asymm drilled short pin. The OT is a perfect candidate for the strong versatile 4 x 5 x 2 PAL layout. It’s the first asymm that matches the needs of a 2 hander without needing a short pin layout. (Still good with short pin for a little less hook too)

I have a nickname for you. Mr Post It ! Man you post every shot so good. Curious if you ever bowl regionals. If not you need to think about it with all the 2 handers I have seen you post it better than any. Been watching your 2 handed journey since the start. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Terry! I was hoping to start regionals when I tore my right arm up and had to start over as a 2 hander. I am hoping to get to a level where I can compete with the big players. Dad instilled the value of balance at the line in my game and it is the pillar that I base my game around. It really drives me crazy to see all the lazy legs and walk outs out of high level players. Hopefully I can be an example as I get more competitive.

Very, very smooth but still nice continuation! I use short pins as well with my Full Roller layouts. I have a Red Hammer with the Quantum Asym core and put a 2 1/4" short pin on it. You can see it in action on my channel. Video #140.

I will check it out! Most layout “types” that work well for 2 handers work will for full rollers. Like the 2.25” short pin

What is better for short pin lay outs, Symmetrical or asymmetrical?

I like using assyms with fairly strong covers for most players and especially the first short pin you do. This one has a weaker cover. I like this one for very high rev rates and drier lanes.

@@BowlingScience I watched that video. but here is the problem. At the beginning of the video, he is shooting with a non-thumb ball. I don't have a ball without a thumb. I have balls pierced by one hand. If I only fill one of the thumbs and try that way, will I find the right pap for two hands?

As long as the finger pitches are what you will use for no thumb.

Depends on your stats but usually the strong 4” layout is the most versatile and continuous
