Love this. Im wanting to set up a moble bar business but thinking of using it by day as a coffee cart with food and having it available for private events and in time payment move to larger public events (have a toddler). Ive just started a small business couse so info like this is great! I came on here looking for conversion videos of caravans into bars but they are all horse tailers!! Im sure it be similar concept conversion wise.

I am on my 3rd week of bartending at red lobster and I like making drinks, I’m a great hands on learner and am good with people with customer service experience. I am thinking about maybe getting a mobile bar business one day and would be perfect bc I like to travel. I wouldn’t limit my business too much

It's always good to be paid for a job that you actually enjoy doing.
@l.a.b-likeabosstrucking66173 ай бұрын
You don’t need any of this if you’re just using your bar for private events ; the person provides the alcohol and you are just providing bartered services .

I am a retired pro wrestler that also did special guest bartending gigs as I’ve been bartending all across this country since I was 21 years old. I just retired from Pro Wrestling and my goal in life now is to launch a mobile bar and event business because everyone that knows me knows, my one talent and gift is throwing parties lol I will be following you very closely for guidance. Thank you for this channel and sharing your knowledge.

@callmescout5831 Thanks I've got a few videos on here on the topic. I've got one coming soon that shows my setup from first contact with the customer , the prep leading up and then the event on the day

How soon before you post the video?

That one won't be for another month as the event i'm doing it for is a music festival on the 17th Feb. I'l probably also do a livestream from it too so you can really see how the setup works and how we can smash out hundreds of drinks per hour to large crowds. @@richardgriffin2659

How do you work out quantity’s of alcoholic beverages to stock for an event? For example there’s an event for 100 people and the customer has chosen 2 spirits, 2 beers and 2 wines. How do you work out quantities of all of them for the 100 people so you’re not taking copious amounts of alcohol away from the event and in turn out of pocket?
@therustybartender Жыл бұрын
So i'm assuming you have your liqour licence if your supplying the alcohol? This will depend on how long your event is on for. assuming it is 4-5 hours you can average out that around 70-80 ppl will drink at the event. The rest will be children or ppl driving. Of the 70-80 ppl tend to average between 4-5 drinks in that time period. Then you kind of work it out from there.

Hey! This was precisely what I was looking for, so thank you very much for posting. I was mulling over the issue of glassware, and was wondering what you’d suggest a small mobile bar business do to ensure they have enough glassware for an event like a wedding. Do you have a dishwashing station in your mobile bar? Do you use a single multi purpose glass, or different varieties per drink type? Hope business is good, and thanks again!
@therustybartender7 ай бұрын
Hi Brian thanks for watching. Yeah i have 3 sinks in my van plus a water pump and heater. I've got a tour of the van in one of my other videos I've put all the mobile bar vids in a playlist so you should be able to find a tour in one of the vids! Yeah if your doing a wedding definitely make sure you've got enough glassware. Buying glasses is probably one of the biggest hidden costs when setting up but it's worth it as a lot of customers will hire you just because of the fact you are able to supply glassware.

From what I understand in the states you don’t need a liquor license because you’re doing private events on a private residence. Can anyone confirm this?
@therustybartender3 ай бұрын
Can confirm . If you are doing this as a business yeah you can but you would still need to get public liability insurance.

@therustybartender Жыл бұрын
Hey man thanks for watching. To be honest it depends where your based and how long the event is and a number of factors. But the packages I charge for my van are usually based on 3hrs ,5hrs or 7 hours of service then we go from there.
