@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
You never mix regular waxes/sealant with ceramic coatings. If you want to apply a wax/sealant combo, you start by applying the sealant first, and you finish with the wax. If you apply a ceramic or graphene coating, you would use SiO2 boost sprays to maintain those. Not waxes. Watch my video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6ndZK2Ji66gY8k

All the mobile detailer in North America seem to carry their own water and a generator. What Is your concern in using the client’s water and power? While I’m yet to do a mobile detail as I work out of my garage, I know I will need to in the near future. I am planning on using both client water and power. Should I mention this when the job is booked? As I’m working out of my Mazda CX-5 I can’t really carry extra water or power supply. Your comments will be greatly appreciated.
@MirandaDetailing4 жыл бұрын
I never had to solely rely on my customer's water and power before. It really depends on your location, do people work from home a lot or do they work at an office location? Most of my customers are working and need to have us come to their location where there is no water or power available. I know some detailers on youtube say you DONT NEED to have your own water and power, but I think they forget that in other cities and locations that's not a viable option. If you're in an area that most people are at home and they don't mind I would say use their water and power. feel free to reach out on my channel, I'd love to share to more details on that.
@PanTheOrganizer4 жыл бұрын
Great points Phil. I also would say that if you do mobile detailing more in commercial spaces and offices (detailing people's cars while they're working) then having your own water and power is a must. But if it's more residential, at people's homes, it's all a question of communication. Ask your customers if they have water and power, and 99% of them won't mind that you use their water and power. It's only natural. But having your own water source means you can also control the quality of your water, and not rely on people's water at their house, which can sometimes have hard water issues.

While I don't feel I will start a mobile or fixed car detailing business, you videos are cool. I just went over my new FedEx P1000 . Washed it on the outside, dried it, & yes, I needed a ladder to reach the top, so, that was slow motion... then I applied Bead Maker :-) so smooth! I also did the tires, & forward windows, mirrors, & Mirror windows with Rain-X. Then, the dash & stuff was cleaned with Meguiars's Ultimate Interior Detailer, it even leaves a nice smell. Great on all interior items, I have even used it on my monitor - it said it "Cleans & Protects ALL Interior Surfaces" so, that includes the NAV screens, why not a monitor or T.V. Works well :-) & with a satin finish, it is wonderful. & the best part, Walmart has it in the Auto department. Is there a down side? Well yes. If you like detailing, you really enjoy clean things. & this one gleans plastic like you will not believe, but all the other things it cleans, you will tire yourself out looking for what it will not clean. Sorry... this is a mind blowing product. This & Beadmaker :-) so good...

Thanks! It's nice to see that my audience responds well to my jokes and quirks! :). And yes I love helping other channels grow and helping fellow detailers gain steam! I would have loved for others to help me when I first started, so here I am doing exactly what I wished others would have done. The community has to grow united. :)

Thanks! I’m thinking of a different setup for the pressure washer, hopefully an electric one. But I spent some 💵💵💵 on the pump and recirculating system so I have to stick with it for a while.

Hey Pan, since I discovered your channel early this year, I spent hundreds of dollars on auto detailing products. Now that the cold season is back in Canada, can you make a list of the products we can keep in my non-heated garage and which ones need to be keep inside the house? Thanks/Merci. BTW, you should be an actor, that crying looked real

All the chemicals need to be stored in stable temperatures (between 8 and 30 Celsius ideally). NEVER let chemicals freeze. Also, keep in mind that most chemicals have a shelf life of 1-2 years.

Wasn’t sure where to ask this. Didn’t want to ask on another specific product vid haha. Thoughts, chance to test Jay leno’s line of products? I bought the cLean strip, looking to use in the spring.

I currently use VRP on the exterior and 303 protectant on the interior. Have you ever tried meguiars hyper dressing? If so, is it good enough to replace both of these so I only need to buy one product.
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
I have tried Hyper Dressing but I mainly use that for engine bay dressing. You already have two good protectants. If you want to go a notch above, use CarPro PERL diluted 3:1 for exterior plastics (1:1 for tires) and 5:1 for interior use. That is a great rubber, vinyl and plastics protectant!
