I've really enjoyed this series thus far--crisp and concise. Most other KZbinrs would take five times as long to impart the same information. Thank you, Cassius!

The great Cassius and great videos. The most important, keep practising your gear. I came here because there is not the first time I came back home with bad quasi inusable footage. That footage keep me improving. I've recently record a low light footage very bad that I have to improve. But, at the same time, I've solved another mistake using with my Ulanzi DOF. Please don't stop doing this shorts videos.

Great video. But would love to see something about low light that is not controllable. Shooting in a dim room today on a pixel 4a with a moment lens and results were bad! Despite ISO being low and preview on phone looking decent enough.

What lights are you using in this video (the one that can be seen at 0:52)?

This is awesome! I am going to use this technique on one of my next short films. Great tips on concentrating your light source too.

Hi, thank you for these tips which I’ve tried on my last video. I just started using Filmic Pro on my iPhone 11 Pro, and am having trouble with post production part in Premiere Pro. I would like to ask for help please on how to brighten up the videos for a vlog inside of my low light apartment. It’s quite frustrating for me to understand. Thank you in advance.

Have you tested using an ND filter verses dialing the ISO down? I find that I am getting a ton of noise either way. Maybe I just need more light to begin with.
@gomakefilms4 жыл бұрын
Hi - I have used an ND on interior shoots and can be very affective but it all depends on the quality of glass and the type of shoot you are undertaking which dictates the final look of the footage. Biggest tip I can offer is this - mobile lenses need twice the amount of light you would normally need if shooting with a DSLR - more lighting, more control, and then the noise will reduce when you get that iso down fully on the filmic pro interface - hope this helps

More videos on using manual mode tips would be really helpful. Auto is really useful, but getting better at manual helps one hone their cinematography skillfulness.

I don't understand how you got the iso below 50. I have been trying to do this for the longest while and been unsuccessful.

The actual scene looks much darker than the behind the scene view. Are additional lights being used for behind the scene segment?
@gomakefilms4 жыл бұрын
No additional lights are being used behind the scenes. If you are able to view the shots again on a bigger screen you will see that the BTS clips are very poor in quality with huge amounts of noise in the image. I hope this helps in answering your question. Many thanks

How to remove noise in low light?
@flipnap21123 жыл бұрын
shoot with as low of an ISO you can. once its there its there. DaVinci resolve studio has great noise filters but low ISO is the only true way.

@@flipnap2112 ok.. Also log version is helpis to reduce noise??? And also fade filter reduce noise?
@flipnap21123 жыл бұрын
@@aestheticvibes1193 no, log wont help reduce the noise that much. maybe in still pictures with RAW. and no not sure what "fade filter" is. but there are noise reduction filters in many programs.

What is native iso for iPhone 11 Pro
@gomakefilms4 жыл бұрын
It ranges from iso 25 - 2000
@pushakargaikwad94024 жыл бұрын
@@gomakefilms hmm, thats the rannge. but I heard somewhere that native iso is fixed iso around which you should shoot and not go too much above or below in the extremes. doing this doesn't introduce noise.

Lowest ISO I can get on my filmicpro app is 50. Is this because of different devices? (I use a samsung s10)
@gomakefilms4 жыл бұрын
Yes the iso will be different depending on the model of your mobile
