Thank you so much for these videos. I have some joist, rim joist & flooring replacements to do this spring so this is giving me the knowledge to tackle it.

These videos that I’m gonna put out now are the GoPro view of my project. The other is just my iPhone I don’t get as much on there, so there should be a lot more detail than these videos coming up.

Tell Paul to use the "flat" side of the hammer head and he will be less likely to poke holes into the subfloor. Another thing, you use impact drivers to drive screws into the wood. A drill is faster and more controllable since they have a clutch. If you use Phillips head screws an impact driver is better. But, if you use Phillips head screws that is a mistake anyway. I will never be doing this but it is fun to watch.

I like the way you guys did the blocking at the doorway. Nice and strong. Thanks for sharing.

Working on replacing some of the subfloor in my house. I had to remove the wall surrounding my furnace and we are going to be moving the furnace out soon. There’s nothing left of the subfloor there. Also had a pipe bust underneath and filled the belly with quite a bit of water, soaked the insulation. Doing both jobs simultaneously. Removing all of the belly. Going to put insulation between the floor joists. Going to replace all of the plumbing while it’s opened up. Not sure what I’m going to replace the belly enclosure with. I am wondering what options besides the heavy duty plastic tarp type stuff that was there. I wish you were closer, I would definitely hire you. Hard to find anyone to work on mobile homes and I want it done correctly. Thank you for posting your videos, they help me a lot
This is great! I'm not much of a carpenter and am in the middle of doing some floor repair on a mid 80s mobilehome... so glad I ran across your vids...I am curious as to whether you have to put in some kind of blocking for the floor vents cuz that was a real weakness with the particle board used for the original floor...will OSB flooring be strong enough so it won't need it? Great to learn from the hands-on experts. Cheers

Do you have any videos on the best way to remove floors under interior walls without knocking the walls out or is that possible?
@Drewsroofingandhomerepair11 ай бұрын
In order to do it you have to remove the interior paneling. And then it’s still hard to do. Just block it like my video showed. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5CzlYyjjLF3ldEsi=SjRFRP3fxbYVZ2JU
